4. The Garden of Gethsemane

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus faces the impending crucifixion with intense prayer. He petitions the Father, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will" (Matthew 26:39). Although the immediate request for the cup to pass is not granted, the prayer is answered in the form of divine strength and resolve to fulfill the redemptive plan. This moment highlights the submission to God's will as a central aspect of prayer.

5. The Prayer for Unity

In His high priestly prayer, Jesus prays for the unity of His followers, saying, "I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one" (John 17:22). This prayer reflects Jesus' desire for His disciples to experience the same unity that exists between Him and the Father. The ongoing fulfillment of this prayer is seen in the unity of the Church, empowered by the Holy Spirit.

6. The Ascension

Before His ascension, Jesus blesses His disciples, and as He is taken up into heaven, they worship Him and return to Jerusalem with great joy (Luke 24:50-52). The ascension itself is a culmination of answered prayer, as Jesus returns to the Father, having completed His earthly mission. This event signifies the ultimate answer to His prayer for glorification and the establishment of His eternal kingdom.
