Sing to Yahweh, All the Earth
(1 Chronicles 16:23–36)

שִׁ֣ירוּ (Sing) לַ֭יהוָה (to YHWH) שִׁ֣יר (a song) חָדָ֑שׁ (new);

שִׁ֥ירוּ (sing) לַ֝יהוָ֗ה (to YHWH), כָּל־ (all) הָאָֽרֶץ׃ (the earth).

2  שִׁ֣ירוּ (Sing) לַ֭יהוָה (to YHWH), בָּרֲכ֣וּ (bless) שְׁמ֑וֹ (His name);

בַּשְּׂר֥וּ (give the news) מִיּֽוֹם־ (from day) לְ֝י֗וֹם (to day) יְשׁוּעָתֽוֹ׃ (of His salvation).

3  סַפְּר֣וּ (Recount) בַגּוֹיִ֣ם (among the nations) כְּבוֹד֑וֹ (His glory),

בְּכָל־ (among all) הָֽ֝עַמִּ֗ים (the peoples) נִפְלְאוֹתָֽיו׃ (His wonders).

4  כִּ֥י (For) גָ֘ד֤וֹל (great is) יְהוָ֣ה (YHWH), וּמְהֻלָּ֣ל (and to be praised) מְאֹ֑ד (greatly);

נוֹרָ֥א (to be feared) ה֝֗וּא (He is) עַל־ (above) כָּל־ (all) אֱלֹהִֽים׃ (gods).

5  כִּ֤י׀ (For) כָּל־ (all) אֱלֹהֵ֣י (the gods) הָעַמִּ֣ים (of the peoples) אֱלִילִ֑ים (are idols),

וַֽ֝יהוָ֗ה (and YHWH) שָׁמַ֥יִם (the heavens) עָשָֽׂה׃ (made).

6  הוֹד־ (Splendor) וְהָדָ֥ר (and majesty are) לְפָנָ֑יו (before His face);

עֹ֥ז (strength) וְ֝תִפְאֶ֗רֶת (and beauty are) בְּמִקְדָּשֽׁוֹ׃ (in His sanctuary).

7  הָב֣וּ (Give) לַ֭יהוָה (to YHWH), מִשְׁפְּח֣וֹת (O families) עַמִּ֑ים (of the peoples),

הָב֥וּ (give) לַ֝יהוָ֗ה (to YHWH) כָּב֥וֹד (honor) וָעֹֽז׃ (and strength).

8  הָב֣וּ (Give) לַ֭יהוָה (to YHWH) כְּב֣וֹד (the glory due) שְׁמ֑וֹ (His name);

שְׂאֽוּ־ (lift up) מִ֝נְחָ֗ה (an offering) וּבֹ֥אוּ (and come) לְחַצְרוֹתָֽיו׃ (into His courts).

9  הִשְׁתַּחֲו֣וּ (Bow down) לַ֭יהוָה (before YHWH) בְּהַדְרַת־ (in the splendor) קֹ֑דֶשׁ (of His holiness);

חִ֥ילוּ (tremble) מִ֝פָּנָ֗יו (before Him) כָּל־ (all) הָאָֽרֶץ׃ (the earth).

10  אִמְר֤וּ (Say) בַגּוֹיִ֨ם׀ (among the nations), יְה֘וָ֤ה (YHWH) מָלָ֗ךְ (reigns)!

אַף־ (Surely) תִּכּ֣וֹן (is firmly set) תֵּ֭בֵל (the world); בַּל־ (not) תִּמּ֑וֹט (can it be shaken);

יָדִ֥ין (He will judge) עַ֝מִּ֗ים (the peoples) בְּמֵישָׁרִֽים׃ (with uprightness).

11  יִשְׂמְח֣וּ (Let rejoice) הַ֭שָּׁמַיִם (the heavens)

וְתָגֵ֣ל (and let be glad) הָאָ֑רֶץ (the earth);

יִֽרְעַ֥ם (let roar) הַ֝יָּ֗ם (the sea) וּמְלֹאֽוֹ׃ (and its fullness).

12  יַעֲלֹ֣ז (Let be joyful) שָׂ֭דַי (the field)

וְכָל־ (and all) אֲשֶׁר־ (that is) בּ֑וֹ (in it).

אָ֥ז (Then) יְ֝רַנְּנ֗וּ (will shout for joy) כָּל־ (all) עֲצֵי־ (the trees)

יָֽעַר׃ (of the forest) 13  לִפְנֵ֤י (before) יְהוָ֨ה׀ (YHWH).

כִּ֬י (For) בָ֗א (He is coming)—

כִּ֥י (for) בָא֮ (He is coming) לִשְׁפֹּ֪ט (to judge) הָ֫אָ֥רֶץ (the earth).

יִשְׁפֹּֽט־ (He will judge) תֵּבֵ֥ל (the world) בְּצֶ֑דֶק (in righteousness)

וְ֝עַמִּ֗ים (and the peoples) בֶּאֱמוּנָתֽוֹ׃ (in His faithfulness).
