Micah 5:2 · "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come forth for Me one to be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times." This prophecy is cited in Matthew 2:6 when the Magi seek the birthplace of Jesus: "But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd My people Israel."

4. Isaiah 53 · This chapter, often called the "Suffering Servant" passage, describes a figure who bears the sins of many. Verses such as Isaiah 53:5, "But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities," are echoed in New Testament passages like 1 Peter 2:24: "He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His stripes you are healed."

5. Psalm 22 · This psalm contains vivid imagery of suffering and is seen as a messianic prophecy. Jesus Himself quotes Psalm 22:1 on the cross in Matthew 27:46: "About the ninth hour, Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?' which means, 'My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?'"

6. Zechariah 9:9 · "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey." This prophecy is fulfilled in the New Testament in the account of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, as recorded in Matthew 21:5: "Say to the daughter of Zion, 'See, your King comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.'"

7. Psalm 110:1 · "The LORD said to my Lord: 'Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.'" This verse is frequently quoted in the New Testament, including in Acts 2:34-35, where Peter declares, "For David did not ascend into heaven, but he himself says: 'The Lord said to my Lord, 'Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.'"
