3. Tribe of Judah: Genesis 49:10 prophesies, "The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes." Jesus' lineage through Judah is confirmed in Luke 3:33.

4. House of David: The promise to David in 2 Samuel 7:12-13 that his throne would be established forever is fulfilled in Christ, as the angel Gabriel announces in Luke 1:32-33, "He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David."

5. Born of a Virgin: Isaiah 7:14 prophesies, "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call Him Immanuel." This is fulfilled in Matthew 1:22-23, where it is stated, "All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet."

6. Birthplace in Bethlehem: Micah 5:2 foretells, "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for Me one who will be ruler over Israel." This prophecy is fulfilled in Matthew 2:1, "After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod."

Ministry and Mission

1. Preceded by a Messenger: Isaiah 40:3 and Malachi 3:1 predict a forerunner to the Messiah. This is fulfilled in John the Baptist, as described in Matthew 3:1-3, "In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.'"

2. Ministry in Galilee: Isaiah 9:1-2 speaks of a great light in Galilee, fulfilled in Matthew 4:13-16, where Jesus begins His ministry in Galilee, bringing light to those in darkness.

3. Miracles and Healing: Isaiah 35:5-6 prophesies the healing ministry of the Messiah, "Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped." This is fulfilled in numerous accounts, such as Matthew 11:4-5, where Jesus heals the blind, lame, and deaf.

4. Teaching in Parables: Psalm 78:2 predicts, "I will open my mouth in parables." Jesus fulfills this in Matthew 13:34, "Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; He did not say anything to them without using a parable."

Suffering, Death, and Resurrection

1. Betrayed by a Friend: Psalm 41:9 foretells betrayal, "Even my close friend, whom I trusted, he who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me." This is fulfilled in John 13:18, referring to Judas Iscariot.

2. Sold for Thirty Pieces of Silver: Zechariah 11:12-13 predicts the price of betrayal, fulfilled in Matthew 26:14-15, where Judas agrees to betray Jesus for thirty pieces of silver.

3. Silent Before Accusers: Isaiah 53:7 describes the Messiah as silent before His accusers, fulfilled in Matthew 27:12-14, where Jesus remains silent before Pilate.

4. Crucifixion: Psalm 22:16-18 vividly describes the crucifixion, "They pierced my hands and my feet." This is fulfilled in John 19:23-24, where the soldiers cast lots for Jesus' garments.
