Then Miriam and Aaron criticized Moses because of the Cushite woman he had married, for he had taken a Cushite wife. Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married, for he had married a Cushite woman. And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married (for he had married a Cushite woman); Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite.
“Does the LORD speak only through Moses?” they said. “Does He not also speak through us?” And the LORD heard this. And they said, “Has the LORD indeed spoken only through Moses? Has he not spoken through us also?” And the LORD heard it. And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it. and they said, “Is it a fact that the LORD has spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us as well?” And the LORD heard this. “Has the LORD spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” And the LORD heard this.
Now Moses was a very humble man, more so than any man on the face of the earth. Now the man Moses was very meek, more than all people who were on the face of the earth. (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than any person who was on the face of the earth.) (Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)
And suddenly the LORD said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “You three, come out to the Tent of Meeting.” So the three went out, And suddenly the LORD said to Moses and to Aaron and Miriam, “Come out, you three, to the tent of meeting.” And the three of them came out. And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out. And the LORD suddenly said to Moses and to Aaron and Miriam, “You three go out to the tent of meeting.” So the three of them went out. At once the LORD said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, “Come out to the tent of meeting, all three of you.” So the three of them went out.
and the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud, stood at the entrance to the Tent, and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When both of them had stepped forward, And the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forward. And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth. Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent; and He called Aaron and Miriam. When they had both come forward, Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud; he stood at the entrance to the tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them stepped forward,
He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, will reveal Myself to him in a vision; I will speak to him in a dream. And he said, “Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the LORD make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream. And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. He said, “Now hear My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, will make Myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream. he said, “Listen to my words: “When there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, reveal myself to them in visions, I speak to them in dreams.
But this is not so with My servant Moses; he is faithful in all My house. Not so with my servant Moses. He is faithful in all my house. My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. “It is not this way for My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My household; But this is not true of my servant Moses; he is faithful in all my house.
I speak with him face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you unafraid to speak against My servant Moses?” With him I speak mouth to mouth, clearly, and not in riddles, and he beholds the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?” With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? With him I speak mouth to mouth, That is, openly, and not using mysterious language, And he beholds the form of the LORD. So why were you not afraid To speak against My servant, against Moses?” With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?”
So the anger of the LORD burned against them, and He departed. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them, and he departed. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed. And the anger of the LORD burned against them and He departed. The anger of the LORD burned against them, and he left them.
As the cloud lifted from above the Tent, suddenly Miriam became leprous, white as snow. Aaron turned toward her, saw that she was leprous, When the cloud removed from over the tent, behold, Miriam was leprous, like snow. And Aaron turned toward Miriam, and behold, she was leprous. And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. But when the cloud had withdrawn from above the tent, behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. As Aaron turned toward Miriam, behold, she was leprous. When the cloud lifted from above the tent, Miriam’s skin was leprous —it became as white as snow. Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had a defiling skin disease,
and said to Moses, “My lord, please do not hold against us this sin we have so foolishly committed. And Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord, do not punish us because we have done foolishly and have sinned. And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned. Then Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord, I beg you, do not hold us responsible for this sin by which we have turned out to be foolish, and by which we have sinned. and he said to Moses, “Please, my lord, I ask you not to hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed.
Please do not let her be like a stillborn infant whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.” Let her not be as one dead, whose flesh is half eaten away when he comes out of his mother’s womb.” Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb. Oh, do not let her be like a dead person, whose flesh is half eaten away when he comes out of his mother’s womb!” Do not let her be like a stillborn infant coming from its mother’s womb with its flesh half eaten away.”
So Moses cried out to the LORD, “O God, please heal her!” And Moses cried to the LORD, “O God, please heal her—please.” And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee. So Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, “God, heal her, please!” So Moses cried out to the LORD, “Please, God, heal her!”
But the LORD answered Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Let her be confined outside the camp for seven days; after that she may be brought back in.” But the LORD said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be shamed seven days? Let her be shut outside the camp seven days, and after that she may be brought in again.” And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again. But the LORD said to Moses, “If her father had only spit in her face, would she not be put to shame for seven days? Have her shut outside the camp for seven days, and afterward she may be received again.” The LORD replied to Moses, “If her father had spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Confine her outside the camp for seven days; after that she can be brought back.”
So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on until she was brought in again. So Miriam was shut outside the camp seven days, and the people did not set out on the march till Miriam was brought in again. And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again. So Miriam was shut outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on until Miriam was received again. So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on till she was brought back.
After that, the people set out from Hazeroth and camped in the Wilderness of Paran. After that the people set out from Hazeroth, and camped in the wilderness of Paran. And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran. Afterward, however, the people moved on from Hazeroth and camped in the wilderness of Paran. After that, the people left Hazeroth and encamped in the Desert of Paran.
