The Bronze Altar and Molten Sea
(1 Kings 7:23–26)

1  וַיַּ֙עַשׂ֙ (And he made) מִזְבַּ֣ח (a altar) נְחֹ֔שֶׁת (bronze), עֶשְׂרִ֤ים (twenty) אַמָּה֙ (cubits) אָרְכּ֔וֹ (its length), וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים (and twenty) אַמָּ֖ה (cubits) רָחְבּ֑וֹ (its width), וְעֶ֥שֶׂר (and ten) אַמּ֖וֹת (cubits) קוֹמָתֽוֹ׃ס (its height).

2  וַיַּ֥עַשׂ (And he made) אֶת־ (-) הַיָּ֖ם (the Sea) מוּצָ֑ק (molten), עֶ֣שֶׂר (ten) בָּֽ֠אַמָּה (by the cubit) מִשְּׂפָת֨וֹ (from one brim) אֶל־ (to) שְׂפָת֜וֹ (the other), עָג֣וֹל׀ (round) סָבִ֗יב (in compass), וְחָמֵ֤שׁ (and five) בָּֽאַמָּה֙ (cubits) קֽוֹמָת֔וֹ (its height), וְקָו֙ (and a line) שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים (of thirty) בָּֽאַמָּ֔ה (by the cubit) יָסֹ֥ב (surrounding) אֹת֖וֹ (it) סָבִֽיב׃ (all around). 3  וּדְמ֣וּת (And the likeness) בְּקָרִים֩ (of oxen) תַּ֨חַת (was under) ל֜וֹ (it) סָבִ֤יב׀ (around) סָבִיב֙ (around) סוֹבְבִ֣ים (encompassing) אֹת֔וֹ (it), עֶ֚שֶׂר (ten) בָּֽאַמָּ֔ה (to a cubit) מַקִּיפִ֥ים (encircling) אֶת־ (-) הַיָּ֖ם (the Sea) סָבִ֑יב (around). שְׁנַ֤יִם (In two) טוּרִים֙ (rows) הַבָּקָ֔ר (the oxen) יְצוּקִ֖ים (were cast) בְּמֻֽצַקְתּֽוֹ׃ (in its being cast).

4  עוֹמֵ֞ד (It stood) עַל־ (on) שְׁנֵ֧ים (two) עָשָׂ֣ר (and ten) בָּקָ֗ר (oxen), שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה (three) פֹנִ֣ים׀ (facing) צָפ֡וֹנָה (north), וּשְׁלוֹשָׁה֩ (and three) פֹנִ֨ים׀ (facing) יָ֜מָּה (west), וּשְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה׀ (and three) פֹּנִ֣ים (facing) נֶ֗גְבָּה (south), וּשְׁלֹשָׁה֙ (and three) פֹּנִ֣ים (facing) מִזְרָ֔חָה (east). וְהַיָּ֥ם (And the sea) עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם (was upon them) מִלְמָ֑עְלָה (-) וְכָל־ (and all) אֲחֹרֵיהֶ֖ם (their hindquarters) בָּֽיְתָה׃ (inward). 5  וְעָבְי֣וֹ (And its thickness) טֶ֔פַח (was a handbreadth), וּשְׂפָתוֹ֙ (and its lip) כְּמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה (as the work) שְׂפַת־ (of the lip) כּ֔וֹס (of a cup), פֶּ֖רַח (a blossom) שֽׁוֹשַׁנָּ֑ה (lily). מַחֲזִ֣יק (Taking hold), בַּתִּ֔ים (baths) שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת (three) אֲלָפִ֖ים (thousand) יָכִֽיל׃ס (it contained).

The Ten Basins, Lampstands, and Tables
(1 Kings 7:38–39)

6  וַיַּ֣עַשׂ (And He made) כִּיּוֹרִים֮ (basins) עֲשָׂרָה֒ (ten), וַ֠יִּתֵּן (and he put) חֲמִשָּׁ֨ה (five) מִיָּמִ֜ין (on the right side) וַחֲמִשָּׁ֤ה (and five) מִשְּׂמֹאול֙ (on the left), לְרָחְצָ֣ה (to wash) בָהֶ֔ם (in them) אֶת־ (-) מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה (the work) הָעוֹלָ֖ה (of the burnt offering) יָדִ֣יחוּ (they would wash) בָ֑ם (in them). וְהַיָּ֕ם (And the Sea was) לְרָחְצָ֥ה (to wash) לַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים (for the priests) בּֽוֹ׃ס (in it).

7  וַ֠יַּעַשׂ (And he made) אֶת־ (-) מְנֹר֧וֹת (lampstands) הַזָּהָ֛ב (of gold) עֶ֖שֶׂר (ten) כְּמִשְׁפָּטָ֑ם (according to their ordinance) וַיִּתֵּן֙ (and set them) בַּֽהֵיכָ֔ל (in the temple), חָמֵ֥שׁ (five) מִיָּמִ֖ין (on the right) וְחָמֵ֥שׁ (and five) מִשְּׂמֹֽאול׃ס (on the left).

8  וַיַּ֣עַשׂ (And he made) שֻׁלְחָנוֹת֮ (tables) עֲשָׂרָה֒ (ten) וַיַּנַּח֙ (and placed them) בַּֽהֵיכָ֔ל (in the temple), חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה (five) מִיָּמִ֖ין (on the right) וַחֲמִשָּׁ֣ה (and five) מִשְּׂמֹ֑אול (on the left). וַיַּ֛עַשׂ (And he made) מִזְרְקֵ֥י (bowls) זָהָ֖ב (of gold) מֵאָֽה׃ (a hundred).

The Courts

9  וַיַּ֙עַשׂ֙ (And he made) חֲצַ֣ר (the court) הַכֹּהֲנִ֔ים (of the priests), וְהָעֲזָרָ֖ה (and the court) הַגְּדוֹלָ֑ה (great), וּדְלָת֧וֹת (and the doors) לָעֲזָרָ֛ה (for the court), וְדַלְתוֹתֵיהֶ֖ם (and their doors) צִפָּ֥ה (he overlaid) נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃ (with bronze).

10  וְאֶת־ (And) הַיָּ֗ם (the Sea) נָתַ֞ן (he set) מִכֶּ֧תֶף (on side) הַיְמָנִ֛ית (the right) קֵ֖דְמָה (eastward), מִמּ֥וּל (over against) נֶֽגְבָּה׃ (the south).

Completion of the Bronze Works
(1 Kings 7:40–47)

11  וַיַּ֣עַשׂ (And made) חוּרָ֔ם (Huram) אֶת־ (-) הַ֨סִּיר֔וֹת (the pots), וְאֶת־ (and) הַיָּעִ֖ים (the shovels), וְאֶת־ (and) הַמִּזְרָק֑וֹתס (the sprinkling bowls).

וַיְכַ֣ל (And finished) חִירָם (Huram) לַעֲשׂוֹת֙ (doing) אֶת־ (-) הַמְּלָאכָ֔ה (the work) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (that) עָשָׂ֛ה (he was to do) לַמֶּ֥לֶךְ (for King) שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה (Solomon) בְּבֵ֥ית (in the house) הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ (of God):

12  עַמּוּדִ֣ים (The pillars), שְׁנַ֔יִם (two);

וְהַגֻּלּ֧וֹת (and the bowls) וְהַכֹּתָר֛וֹת (and capitals) עַל־ (on) רֹ֥אשׁ (top) הָעַמּוּדִ֖ים (of the pillars), שְׁתָּ֑יִם (two);

וְהַשְּׂבָכ֣וֹת (and the networks) שְׁתַּ֔יִם (two) לְכַסּ֗וֹת (covering) אֶת־ (-) שְׁתֵּי֙ (two) גֻּלּ֣וֹת (bowls) הַכֹּֽתָר֔וֹת (of the capitals) אֲשֶׁ֖ר (that were) עַל־ (on) רֹ֥אשׁ (top) הָֽעַמּוּדִֽים׃ (of the pillars);

13  וְאֶת־ (and) הָֽרִמּוֹנִ֛ים (the pomegranates) אַרְבַּ֥ע (four) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) לִשְׁתֵּ֣י (for the two) הַשְּׂבָכ֑וֹת (networks) שְׁנַ֨יִם (two) טוּרִ֤ים (rows) רִמּוֹנִים֙ (of pomegranates) לַשְּׂבָכָ֣ה (for network) הָאֶחָ֔ת (one), לְכַסּ֗וֹת (to cover) אֶת־ (-) שְׁתֵּי֙ (the two) גֻּלּ֣וֹת (bowls) הַכֹּֽתָר֔וֹת (of the capitals) אֲשֶׁ֖ר (that were) עַל־ (on) פְּנֵ֥י (the face) הָעַמּוּדִֽים׃ (of the pillars);

14  וְאֶת־ (and also) הַמְּכֹנ֖וֹת (the carts) עָשָׂ֑ה (he made);

וְאֶת־ (and) הַכִּיֹּר֥וֹת (the basins) עָשָׂ֖ה (made) עַל־ (on) הַמְּכֹנֽוֹת׃ (the carts);

15  אֶת־ (-) הַיָּ֖ם (the Sea) אֶחָ֑ד (one);

וְאֶת־ (and) הַבָּקָ֥ר (the oxen) שְׁנֵים־ (two) עָשָׂ֖ר (and ten) תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ (under it).

16  וְאֶת־ (And) הַ֠סִּירוֹת (the pots), וְאֶת־ (and) הַיָּעִ֤ים (the shovels), וְאֶת־ (and) הַמִּזְלָגוֹת֙ (the forks), וְאֶת־ (and) כָּל־ (all) כְּלֵיהֶ֔ם (their articles).

עָשָׂ֞ה (Made these) חוּרָ֥ם (Huram-) אָבִ֛יו (abi) לַמֶּ֥לֶךְ (for King) שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה (Solomon) לְבֵ֣ית (for the house) יְהוָ֑ה (of YHWH) נְחֹ֖שֶׁת (of bronze) מָרֽוּק׃ (polished). 17  בְּכִכַּ֤ר (In the plain) הַיַּרְדֵּן֙ (of Jordan) יְצָקָ֣ם (had cast them) הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ (the king) בַּעֲבִ֖י (them in the thick soil) הָאֲדָמָ֑ה (of the ground) בֵּ֥ין (between) סֻכּ֖וֹת (Succoth) וּבֵ֥ין (and between) צְרֵדָֽתָה׃ (Zeredah). 18  וַיַּ֧עַשׂ (And had made) שְׁלֹמֹ֛ה (Solomon) כָּל־ (all) הַכֵּלִ֥ים (the articles) הָאֵ֖לֶּה (these) לָרֹ֣ב (in abundance), מְאֹ֑ד (such great) כִּ֛י (that) לֹ֥א (not) נֶחְקַ֖ר (to be sought out) מִשְׁקַ֥ל (the weight) הַנְּחֹֽשֶׁת׃פ (of the bronze).

Completion of the Gold Furnishings
(1 Kings 7:48–51)

19  וַיַּ֣עַשׂ (And made) שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה (Solomon) אֵ֚ת (-) כָּל־ (all) הַכֵּלִ֔ים (the furnishings) אֲשֶׁ֖ר (for) בֵּ֣ית (the house) הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים (of God):

וְאֵת֙ (And) מִזְבַּ֣ח (altar) הַזָּהָ֔ב (of the gold);

וְאֶת־ (and) הַשֻּׁלְחָנ֔וֹת (the tables), וַעֲלֵיהֶ֖ם (and on them) לֶ֥חֶם (the Bread) הַפָּנִֽים׃ (of the Presence).

20  וְאֶת־ (And) הַמְּנֹר֞וֹת (the lampstands), וְנֵרֹתֵיהֶ֗ם (and their lamps) לְבַעֲרָ֧ם (to burn) כַּמִּשְׁפָּ֛ט (according to the ordinance) לִפְנֵ֥י (in front) הַדְּבִ֖יר (of the inner sanctuary), זָהָ֥ב (of gold) סָגֽוּר׃ (pure);

21  וְהַפֶּ֧רַח (and the flowers), וְהַנֵּר֛וֹת (and the lamps), וְהַמֶּלְקַחַ֖יִם (and the tongs) זָהָ֑ב (of gold)— ה֖וּא (it was) מִכְל֥וֹת (the perfection) זָהָֽב׃ (of gold);

22  וְהַֽמְזַמְּר֧וֹת (and the trimmers), וְהַמִּזְרָק֛וֹת (and the bowls), וְהַכַּפּ֥וֹת (and the ladles), וְהַמַּחְתּ֖וֹת (and the firepans) זָהָ֣ב (of gold) סָג֑וּר (refined);

וּפֶ֣תַח (and the opening) הַ֠בַּיִת (of the house), דַּלְתוֹתָ֨יו (its doors) הַפְּנִימִיּ֜וֹת (inner), לְקֹ֣דֶשׁ (to the Holy) הַקֳּדָשִׁ֗ים (of Holies), וְדַלְתֵ֥י (and the doors) הַבַּ֛יִת (of the main hall) לַהֵיכָ֖ל (of the temple), זָהָֽב׃ (of gold).
