2	Be ready in the morning, and come up on Mount Sinai to present yourself before Me on the mountaintop. Let no flocks or herds graze opposite that mountain.”	And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount. 4	So Moses chiseled out two stone tablets like the originals. He rose early in the morning, and taking the two stone tablets in his hands, he went up Mount Sinai as the LORD had commanded him.	So Moses cut two tablets of stone like the first. And he rose early in the morning and went up on Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand two tablets of stone.	And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.	So he cut out two stone tablets like the former ones, and Moses got up early in the morning and went up to Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and he took <i>the</i> two stone tablets in his hand.	So Moses chiseled out two stone tablets like the first ones and went up Mount Sinai early in the morning, as the LORD had commanded him; and he carried the two stone tablets in his hands.

8	Moses immediately bowed down to the ground and worshiped.	And Moses quickly bowed his head toward the earth and worshiped.	And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.	And Moses hurried to bow low toward the ground and worship.	Moses bowed to the ground at once and worshiped.
9	“O Lord,” he said, “if I have indeed found favor in Your sight, my Lord, please go with us. Although this is a stiff-necked people, forgive our iniquity and sin, and take us as Your inheritance.”	And he said, “If now I have found favor in your sight, O Lord, please let the Lord go in the midst of us, for it is a stiff-necked people, and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”	And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it <i>is</i> a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.	Then he said, “If in any way I have found favor in Your sight, Lord, please may the Lord go along in our midst, even though the people are so obstinate, and pardon our wrongdoing and our sin, and take us as Your own possession.”	“Lord,” he said, “if I have found favor in your eyes, then let the Lord go with us. Although this is a stiff-necked people, forgive our wickedness and our sin, and take us as your inheritance.”
10	And the LORD said, “Behold, I am making a covenant. Before all your people I will perform wonders that have never been done in any nation in all the world. All the people among whom you live will see the LORD’s work, for it is an awesome thing that I am doing with you.	And he said, “Behold, I am making a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been created in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the LORD, for it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.	And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou <i>art</i> shall see the work of the LORD: for it <i>is</i> a terrible thing that I will do with thee.	Then God said, “Behold, I am going to make a covenant. Before all your people I will perform miracles which have not been produced in all the earth nor among any of the nations; and all the people among whom you live will see the working of the LORD, for it is a fearful thing that I am going to perform with you.	Then the LORD said: “I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the LORD, will do for you.
11	Observe what I command you this day. I will drive out before you the Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.	“Observe what I command you this day. Behold, I will drive out before you the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.	Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.	“Be sure to comply with what I am commanding you this day: behold, I am going to drive out the Amorite from you, and the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.	Obey what I command you today. I will drive out before you the Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.
12	Be careful not to make a treaty with the inhabitants of the land you are entering, lest they become a snare in your midst.	Take care, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land to which you go, lest it become a snare in your midst.	Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:	Be careful that you do not make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land into which you are going, or it will become a snare in your midst.	Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you are going, or they will be a snare among you.
13	Rather, you must tear down their altars, smash their sacred stones, and chop down their Asherah poles.	You shall tear down their altars and break their pillars and cut down their Asherim	But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:	But <i>rather,</i> you are to tear down their altars and smash their memorial stones, and cut down their Asherim	Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles.
14	For you must not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. 15	Do not make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will invite you, and you will eat their sacrifices.	lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and when they whore after their gods and sacrifice to their gods and you are invited, you eat of his sacrifice,	Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and <i>one</i> call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;	otherwise you might make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they would prostitute themselves with their gods and sacrifice to their gods, and someone might invite you to eat of his sacrifice,	“Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land; for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices.
16	And when you take some of their daughters as brides for your sons, their daughters will prostitute themselves to their gods and cause your sons to do the same.	and you take of their daughters for your sons, and their daughters whore after their gods and make your sons whore after their gods.	And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.	and you might take some of his daughters for your sons, and his daughters might prostitute themselves with their gods and cause your sons <i>also</i> to prostitute themselves with their gods.	And when you choose some of their daughters as wives for your sons and those daughters prostitute themselves to their gods, they will lead your sons to do the same.
17	You shall make no molten gods for yourselves.	“You shall not make for yourself any gods of cast metal.	Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.	You shall not make for yourself <i>any</i> gods cast in metal.	“Do not make any idols.
18	You are to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. For seven days at the appointed time in the month of Abib, you are to eat unleavened bread as I commanded you. For in the month of Abib you came out of Egypt.	“You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib, for in the month Abib you came out from Egypt.	The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.	“You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. For seven days you are to eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the appointed time in the month of Abib; for in the month of Abib you came out of Egypt.	“Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread. For seven days eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you. Do this at the appointed time in the month of Aviv, for in that month you came out of Egypt.
19	The first offspring of every womb belongs to Me, including all the firstborn males among your livestock, whether cattle or sheep.	All that open the womb are mine, all your male livestock, the firstborn of cow and sheep.	All that openeth the matrix <i>is</i> mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, <i>whether</i> ox or sheep, <i>that is male</i>.	“The firstborn from every womb belongs to Me, and all your male livestock, the firstborn from cattle and sheep.	“The first offspring of every womb belongs to me, including all the firstborn males of your livestock, whether from herd or flock.
20	You must redeem the firstborn of a donkey with a lamb; but if you do not redeem it, you are to break its neck. You must redeem all the firstborn of your sons. No one shall appear before Me empty-handed.	The firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb, or if you will not redeem it you shall break its neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. And none shall appear before me empty-handed.	But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem <i>him</i> not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.	You shall redeem with a lamb the firstborn from a donkey; and if you do not redeem <i>it,</i> then you shall break its neck. You shall redeem all the firstborn of your sons. None are to appear before Me empty-handed.	Redeem the firstborn donkey with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem all your firstborn sons. “No one is to appear before me empty-handed.
21	Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even in the seasons of plowing and harvesting, you must rest.	“Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest. In plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.	Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.	“You shall work six days, but on the seventh day you shall rest; <i>even</i> during plowing time and harvest you shall rest.	“Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.
22	And you are to celebrate the Feast of Weeks with the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the turn of the year.	You shall observe the Feast of Weeks, the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the year’s end.	And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end.	And you shall celebrate the Feast of Weeks, <i>that is,</i> the first fruits of the wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the turn of the year.	“Celebrate the Festival of Weeks with the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering at the turn of the year.
23	Three times a year all your males are to appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.	Three times in the year shall all your males appear before the LORD God, the God of Israel.	Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.	Three times a year all your males are to appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.	Three times a year all your men are to appear before the Sovereign LORD, the God of Israel.
24	For I will drive out the nations before you and enlarge your borders, and no one will covet your land when you go up three times a year to appear before the LORD your God.	For I will cast out nations before you and enlarge your borders; no one shall covet your land, when you go up to appear before the LORD your God three times in the year.	For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God thrice in the year.	For I will drive out nations from you and enlarge your borders, and no one will covet your land when you go up three times a year to appear before the LORD your God.	I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your territory, and no one will covet your land when you go up three times each year to appear before the LORD your God.
25	Do not offer the blood of a sacrifice to Me along with anything leavened, and do not let any of the sacrifice from the Passover Feast remain until morning.	“You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with anything leavened, or let the sacrifice of the Feast of the Passover remain until the morning.	Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.	“You shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leavened bread, nor is the sacrifice of the Feast of the Passover to be left over until morning.	“Do not offer the blood of a sacrifice to me along with anything containing yeast, and do not let any of the sacrifice from the Passover Festival remain until morning.
26	Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the LORD your God. You must not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.”	The best of the firstfruits of your ground you shall bring to the house of the LORD your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.”	The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.	“You shall bring the very first of the first fruits of your soil into the house of the LORD your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.”	“Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the LORD your God. “Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.”
27	The LORD also said to Moses, “Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”	And the LORD said to Moses, “Write these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”	And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel. 28	So Moses was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant— the Ten Commandments.	So he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights. He neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.	And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.	So he was there with the LORD for forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread or drink water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments. 29	And when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands, he was unaware that his face had become radiant from speaking with the LORD.	When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God.	And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.	And it came about, when Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the testimony <i>were</i> in Moses’ hand as he was coming down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him.	When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the LORD.
30	Aaron and all the Israelites looked at Moses, and behold, his face was radiant. And they were afraid to approach him.	Aaron and all the people of Israel saw Moses, and behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.	And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.	So when Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to approach him.	When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, his face was radiant, and they were afraid to come near him.
31	But Moses called out to them; so Aaron and all the leaders of the congregation returned to him, and Moses spoke to them.	But Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the leaders of the congregation returned to him, and Moses talked with them.	And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.	Then Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the rulers in the congregation returned to him; and Moses spoke to them.	But Moses called to them; so Aaron and all the leaders of the community came back to him, and he spoke to them.
32	And after this all the Israelites came near, and Moses commanded them to do everything that the LORD had told him on Mount Sinai. And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai.	Afterward all the sons of Israel came near, and he commanded them <i>to do</i> everything that the LORD had spoken to him on Mount Sinai.	Afterward all the Israelites came near him, and he gave them all the commands the LORD had given him on Mount Sinai.
33	When Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face.	And when Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face. 35	and the Israelites would see that the face of Moses was radiant. So Moses would put the veil back over his face until he went in to speak with the LORD.	the people of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face was shining. And Moses would put the veil over his face again, until he went in to speak with him.	And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.	the sons of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone. So Moses would put the veil back over his face until he went in to speak with Him.	they saw that his face was radiant. Then Moses would put the veil back over his face until he went in to speak with the LORD.
