CSB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Christian Standard BibleNew Living Translation
How happy are those whose way is blameless, who walk according to the LORD's instruction!1Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the LORD.
Happy are those who keep his decrees and seek him with all their heart.2Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts.
They do nothing wrong; they walk in his ways.3They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths.
You have commanded that your precepts be diligently kept.4You have charged us to keep your commandments carefully.
If only my ways were committed to keeping your statutes!5Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees!
Then I would not be ashamed when I think about all your commands.6Then I will not be ashamed when I compare my life with your commands.
I will praise you with an upright heart when I learn your righteous judgments.7As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should!
I will keep your statutes; never abandon me.8I will obey your decrees. Please don’t give up on me! Beth
How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping your word.9How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word.
I have sought you with all my heart; don't let me wander from your commands.10I have tried hard to find you— don’t let me wander from your commands.
I have treasured your word in my heart so that I may not sin against you.11I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
LORD, may you be blessed; teach me your statutes.12I praise you, O LORD; teach me your decrees.
With my lips I proclaim all the judgments from your mouth.13I have recited aloud all the regulations you have given us.
I rejoice in the way revealed by your decrees as much as in all riches.14I have rejoiced in your laws as much as in riches.
I will meditate on your precepts and think about your ways.15I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways.
I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.16I will delight in your decrees and not forget your word. Gimel
Deal generously with your servant so that I might live; then I will keep your word.17Be good to your servant, that I may live and obey your word.
Open my eyes so that I may contemplate wondrous things from your instruction.18Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions.
I am a resident alien on earth; do not hide your commands from me.19I am only a foreigner in the land. Don’t hide your commands from me!
I am continually overcome with longing for your judgments.20I am always overwhelmed with a desire for your regulations.
You rebuke the arrogant, the ones under a curse, who wander from your commands.21You rebuke the arrogant; those who wander from your commands are cursed.
Take insult and contempt away from me, for I have kept your decrees.22Don’t let them scorn and insult me, for I have obeyed your laws.
Though princes sit together speaking against me, your servant will think about your statutes;23Even princes sit and speak against me, but I will meditate on your decrees.
your decrees are my delight and my counselors.24Your laws please me; they give me wise advice. Daleth
My life is down in the dust; give me life through your word.25I lie in the dust; revive me by your word.
I told you about my life, and you answered me; teach me your statutes.26I told you my plans, and you answered. Now teach me your decrees.
Help me understand the meaning of your precepts so that I can meditate on your wonders.27Help me understand the meaning of your commandments, and I will meditate on your wonderful deeds.
I am weary from grief; strengthen me through your word.28I weep with sorrow; encourage me by your word.
Keep me from the way of deceit and graciously give me your instruction.29Keep me from lying to myself; give me the privilege of knowing your instructions.
I have chosen the way of truth; I have set your ordinances before me.30I have chosen to be faithful; I have determined to live by your regulations.
I cling to your decrees; LORD, do not put me to shame.31I cling to your laws. LORD, don’t let me be put to shame!
I pursue the way of your commands, for you broaden my understanding.32I will pursue your commands, for you expand my understanding. He
Teach me, LORD, the meaning of your statutes, and I will always keep them.33Teach me your decrees, O LORD; I will keep them to the end.
Help me understand your instruction, and I will obey it and follow it with all my heart.34Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions; I will put them into practice with all my heart.
Help me stay on the path of your commands, for I take pleasure in it.35Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found.
Turn my heart to your decrees and not to dishonest profit.36Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money!
Turn my eyes from looking at what is worthless; give me life in your ways.37Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word.
Confirm what you said to your servant, for it produces reverence for you.38Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you.
Turn away the disgrace I dread; indeed, your judgments are good.39Help me abandon my shameful ways; for your regulations are good.
How I long for your precepts! Give me life through your righteousness.40I long to obey your commandments! Renew my life with your goodness. Waw
Let your faithful love come to me, LORD, your salvation, as you promised.41LORD, give me your unfailing love, the salvation that you promised me.
Then I can answer the one who taunts me, for I trust in your word.42Then I can answer those who taunt me, for I trust in your word.
Never take the word of truth from my mouth, for I hope in your judgments.43Do not snatch your word of truth from me, for your regulations are my only hope.
I will always obey your instruction, forever and ever.44I will keep on obeying your instructions forever and ever.
I will walk freely in an open place because I study your precepts.45I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments.
I will speak of your decrees before kings and not be ashamed.46I will speak to kings about your laws, and I will not be ashamed.
I delight in your commands, which I love.47How I delight in your commands! How I love them!
I will lift up my hands to your commands, which I love, and will meditate on your statutes.48I honor and love your commands. I meditate on your decrees. Zayin
Remember your word to your servant; you have given me hope through it.49Remember your promise to me; it is my only hope.
This is my comfort in my affliction: Your promise has given me life.50Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles.
The arrogant constantly ridicule me, but I do not turn away from your instruction.51The proud hold me in utter contempt, but I do not turn away from your instructions.
LORD, I remember your judgments from long ago and find comfort.52I meditate on your age-old regulations; O LORD, they comfort me.
Rage seizes me because of the wicked who reject your instruction.53I become furious with the wicked, because they reject your instructions.
Your statutes are the theme of my song during my earthly life.54Your decrees have been the theme of my songs wherever I have lived.
LORD, I remember your name in the night, and I obey your instruction.55I reflect at night on who you are, O LORD; therefore, I obey your instructions.
This is my practice: I obey your precepts.56This is how I spend my life: obeying your commandments. Heth
The LORD is my portion; I have promised to keep your words.57LORD, you are mine! I promise to obey your words!
I have sought your favor with all my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise.58With all my heart I want your blessings. Be merciful as you promised.
I thought about my ways and turned my steps back to your decrees.59I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws.
I hurried, not hesitating to keep your commands.60I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands.
Though the ropes of the wicked were wrapped around me, I did not forget your instruction.61Evil people try to drag me into sin, but I am firmly anchored to your instructions.
I rise at midnight to thank you for your righteous judgments.62I rise at midnight to thank you for your just regulations.
I am a friend to all who fear you, to those who keep your precepts.63I am a friend to anyone who fears you— anyone who obeys your commandments.
LORD, the earth is filled with your faithful love; teach me your statutes.64O LORD, your unfailing love fills the earth; teach me your decrees. Teth
LORD, you have treated your servant well, just as you promised.65You have done many good things for me, LORD, just as you promised.
Teach me good judgment and discernment, for I rely on your commands.66I believe in your commands; now teach me good judgment and knowledge.
Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word.67I used to wander off until you disciplined me; but now I closely follow your word.
You are good, and you do what is good; teach me your statutes.68You are good and do only good; teach me your decrees.
The arrogant have smeared me with lies, but I obey your precepts with all my heart.69Arrogant people smear me with lies, but in truth I obey your commandments with all my heart.
Their hearts are hard and insensitive, but I delight in your instruction.70Their hearts are dull and stupid, but I delight in your instructions.
It was good for me to be afflicted so that I could learn your statutes.71My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your decrees.
Instruction from your lips is better for me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.72Your instructions are more valuable to me than millions in gold and silver. Yodh
Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding so that I can learn your commands.73You made me; you created me. Now give me the sense to follow your commands.
Those who fear you will see me and rejoice, for I put my hope in your word.74May all who fear you find in me a cause for joy, for I have put my hope in your word.
I know, LORD, that your judgments are just and that you have afflicted me fairly.75I know, O LORD, that your regulations are fair; you disciplined me because I needed it.
May your faithful love comfort me as you promised your servant.76Now let your unfailing love comfort me, just as you promised me, your servant.
May your compassion come to me so that I may live, for your instruction is my delight.77Surround me with your tender mercies so I may live, for your instructions are my delight.
Let the arrogant be put to shame for slandering me with lies; I will meditate on your precepts.78Bring disgrace upon the arrogant people who lied about me; meanwhile, I will concentrate on your commandments.
Let those who fear you, those who know your decrees, turn to me.79Let me be united with all who fear you, with those who know your laws.
May my heart be blameless regarding your statutes so that I will not be put to shame.80May I be blameless in keeping your decrees; then I will never be ashamed. Kaph
I long for your salvation; I put my hope in your word.81I am worn out waiting for your rescue, but I have put my hope in your word.
My eyes grow weary looking for what you have promised; I ask, "When will you comfort me?"82My eyes are straining to see your promises come true. When will you comfort me?
Though I have become like a wineskin dried by smoke, I do not forget your statutes.83I am shriveled like a wineskin in the smoke, but I have not forgotten to obey your decrees.
How many days must your servant wait? When will you execute judgment on my persecutors?84How long must I wait? When will you punish those who persecute me?
The arrogant have dug pits for me; they violate your instruction.85These arrogant people who hate your instructions have dug deep pits to trap me.
All your commands are true; people persecute me with lies--help me!86All your commands are trustworthy. Protect me from those who hunt me down without cause.
They almost ended my life on earth, but I did not abandon your precepts.87They almost finished me off, but I refused to abandon your commandments.
Give me life in accordance with your faithful love, and I will obey the decree you have spoken.88In your unfailing love, spare my life; then I can continue to obey your laws. Lamedh
LORD, your word is forever; it is firmly fixed in heaven.89Your eternal word, O LORD, stands firm in heaven.
Your faithfulness is for all generations; you established the earth, and it stands firm.90Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth you created.
Your judgments stand firm today, for all things are your servants.91Your regulations remain true to this day, for everything serves your plans.
If your instruction had not been my delight, I would have died in my affliction.92If your instructions hadn’t sustained me with joy, I would have died in my misery.
I will never forget your precepts, for you have given me life through them.93I will never forget your commandments, for by them you give me life.
I am yours; save me, for I have studied your precepts.94I am yours; rescue me! For I have worked hard at obeying your commandments.
The wicked hope to destroy me, but I contemplate your decrees.95Though the wicked hide along the way to kill me, I will quietly keep my mind on your laws.
I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your command is without limit.96Even perfection has its limits, but your commands have no limit. Mem
How I love your instruction! It is my meditation all day long.97Oh, how I love your instructions! I think about them all day long.
Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are always with me.98Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are my constant guide.
I have more insight than all my teachers because your decrees are my meditation.99Yes, I have more insight than my teachers, for I am always thinking of your laws.
I understand more than the elders because I obey your precepts.100I am even wiser than my elders, for I have kept your commandments.
I have kept my feet from every evil path to follow your word.101I have refused to walk on any evil path, so that I may remain obedient to your word.
I have not turned from your judgments, for you yourself have instructed me.102I haven’t turned away from your regulations, for you have taught me well.
How sweet your word is to my taste--sweeter than honey in my mouth.103How sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey.
I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every false way.104Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life. Nun
Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.105Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
I have solemnly sworn to keep your righteous judgments.106I’ve promised it once, and I’ll promise it again: I will obey your righteous regulations.
I am severely afflicted; LORD, give me life according to your word.107I have suffered much, O LORD; restore my life again as you promised.
LORD, please accept my freewill offerings of praise, and teach me your judgments.108LORD, accept my offering of praise, and teach me your regulations.
My life is constantly in danger, yet I do not forget your instruction.109My life constantly hangs in the balance, but I will not stop obeying your instructions.
The wicked have set a trap for me, but I have not wandered from your precepts.110The wicked have set their traps for me, but I will not turn from your commandments.
I have your decrees as a heritage forever; indeed, they are the joy of my heart.111Your laws are my treasure; they are my heart’s delight.

You are my shelter and my shield; I put my hope in your word.114You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope.
Depart from me, you evil ones, so that I may obey my God's commands.115Get out of my life, you evil-minded people, for I intend to obey the commands of my God.
Sustain me as you promised, and I will live; do not let me be ashamed of my hope.116LORD, sustain me as you promised, that I may live! Do not let my hope be crushed.
Sustain me so that I can be safe and always be concerned about your statutes.117Sustain me, and I will be rescued; then I will meditate continually on your decrees.
You reject all who stray from your statutes, for their deceit is a lie.118But you have rejected all who stray from your decrees. They are only fooling themselves.
You remove all the wicked on earth as if they were dross from metal; therefore, I love your decrees.119You skim off the wicked of the earth like scum; no wonder I love to obey your laws!
I tremble in awe of you; I fear your judgments.120I tremble in fear of you; I stand in awe of your regulations. Ayin
I have done what is just and right; do not leave me to my oppressors.121Don’t leave me to the mercy of my enemies, for I have done what is just and right.

Deal with your servant based on your faithful love; teach me your statutes.124I am your servant; deal with me in unfailing love, and teach me your decrees.
I am your servant; give me understanding so that I may know your decrees.125Give discernment to me, your servant; then I will understand your laws.
It is time for the LORD to act, for they have violated your instruction.126LORD, it is time for you to act, for these evil people have violated your instructions.
Since I love your commands more than gold, even the purest gold,127Truly, I love your commands more than gold, even the finest gold.
I carefully follow all your precepts and hate every false way.128Each of your commandments is right. That is why I hate every false way. Pe
Your decrees are wondrous; therefore I obey them.129Your laws are wonderful. No wonder I obey them!
The revelation of your words brings light and gives understanding to the inexperienced.130The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand.
I open my mouth and pant because I long for your commands.131I pant with expectation, longing for your commands.
Turn to me and be gracious to me, as is your practice toward those who love your name.132Come and show me your mercy, as you do for all who love your name.
Make my steps steady through your promise; don't let any sin dominate me.133Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.

The decrees you issue are righteous and altogether trustworthy.138Your laws are perfect and completely trustworthy.
My anger overwhelms me because my foes forget your words.139I am overwhelmed with indignation, for my enemies have disregarded your words.
Your word is completely pure, and your servant loves it.140Your promises have been thoroughly tested; that is why I love them so much.
I am insignificant and despised, but I do not forget your precepts.141I am insignificant and despised, but I don’t forget your commandments.
Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your instruction is true.142Your justice is eternal, and your instructions are perfectly true.

In keeping with your faithful love, hear my voice. LORD, give me life in keeping with your justice.149In your faithful love, O LORD, hear my cry; let me be revived by following your regulations.
Those who pursue evil plans come near; they are far from your instruction.150Lawless people are coming to attack me; they live far from your instructions.
You are near, LORD, and all your commands are true.151But you are near, O LORD, and all your commands are true.
Long ago I learned from your decrees that you have established them forever.152I have known from my earliest days that your laws will last forever. Resh

Salvation is far from the wicked because they do not study your statutes.155The wicked are far from rescue, for they do not bother with your decrees.
Your compassions are many, LORD; give me life according to your judgments.156LORD, how great is your mercy; let me be revived by following your regulations.
My persecutors and foes are many. I have not turned from your decrees.157Many persecute and trouble me, yet I have not swerved from your laws.
I have seen the disloyal and feel disgust because they do not keep your word.158Seeing these traitors makes me sick at heart, because they care nothing for your word.

My lips pour out praise, for you teach me your statutes.171Let praise flow from my lips, for you have taught me your decrees.
My tongue sings about your promise, for all your commands are righteous.172Let my tongue sing about your word, for all your commands are right.
May your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts.173Give me a helping hand, for I have chosen to follow your commandments.
I long for your salvation, LORD, and your instruction is my delight.174O LORD, I have longed for your rescue, and your instructions are my delight.
Let me live, and I will praise you; may your judgments help me.175Let me live so I can praise you, and may your regulations help me.
