When I was in distress, I sought the Lord; at night I stretched out untiring hands, and I would not be comforted.2In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying; my soul refuses to be comforted.2In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; In the night my hand was stretched out without weariness; My soul refused to be comforted.2In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.2I sought the Lord in my day of trouble. My hands were continually lifted up all night long; I refused to be comforted.
I remembered you, God, and I groaned; I meditated, and my spirit grew faint.3When I remember God, I moan; when I meditate, my spirit faints. 4You kept my eyes from closing; I was too troubled to speak.4You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak.4You have held my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak.4Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.4You have kept me from closing my eyes; I am troubled and cannot speak.

I thought about the former days, the years of long ago;5I consider the days of old, the years long ago.5I have considered the days of old, The years of long ago.5I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.5I consider days of old, years long past.
I remembered my songs in the night. My heart meditated and my spirit asked:6I said, “Let me remember my song in the night; let me meditate in my heart.” Then my spirit made a diligent search:6I will remember my song in the night; I will meditate with my heart, And my spirit ponders:6I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.6At night I remember my music; I meditate in my heart, and my spirit ponders."
"Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again?7“Will the Lord spurn forever, and never again be favorable?7Will the Lord reject forever? And will He never be favorable again?7Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?7Will the Lord reject forever and never again show favor?
Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time?8Has his steadfast love forever ceased? Are his promises at an end for all time?8Has His lovingkindness ceased forever? Has His promise come to an end forever?8Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore?8Has His faithful love ceased forever? Is His promise at an end for all generations?
Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?"9Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he in anger shut up his compassion?” Selah9Has God forgotten to be gracious, Or has He in anger withdrawn His compassion? Selah.9Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.9Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger withheld His compassion?" Selah

Then I thought, "To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand.10Then I said, “I will appeal to this, to the years of the right hand of the Most High.”10Then I said, "It is my grief, That the right hand of the Most High has changed."10And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.10So I say, "I am grieved that the right hand of the Most High has changed."
