The Davidic Covenant

The promise to David is a pivotal moment in the unfolding of God's sovereign plan. In 2 Samuel 7:12-16 , God promises David, "When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, who will come from your own body, and I will establish his kingdom. He will build a house for My Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever." The Promise of the Holy Spirit

In Acts 2:38-39 , Peter proclaims, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. In Revelation 21:3-4 , John describes the ultimate fulfillment of God's promise: "And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: 'Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them.
