A Psalm of David, for remembrance. O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger or discipline me in Your wrath. O LORD, rebuke me not in your anger, nor discipline me in your wrath! A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. A Psalm of David, for a memorial. LORD, do not rebuke me in Your wrath, And do not punish me in Your burning anger. A psalm of David. A petition. LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath.
For Your arrows have pierced me deeply, and Your hand has pressed down on me. For your arrows have sunk into me, and your hand has come down on me. For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore. For Your arrows have sunk deep into me, And Your hand has pressed down on me. Your arrows have pierced me, and your hand has come down on me.
There is no soundness in my body because of Your anger; there is no rest in my bones because of my sin. There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation; there is no health in my bones because of my sin. There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin. There is no healthy part in my flesh because of Your indignation; There is no health in my bones because of my sin. Because of your wrath there is no health in my body; there is no soundness in my bones because of my sin.
For my iniquities have overwhelmed me; they are a burden too heavy to bear. For my iniquities have gone over my head; like a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me. For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me. For my guilty deeds have gone over my head; Like a heavy burden they weigh too much for me. My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear.
My wounds are foul and festering because of my sinful folly. My wounds stink and fester because of my foolishness, My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness. My wounds grow foul and fester Because of my foolishness. My wounds fester and are loathsome because of my sinful folly.
I am bent and brought low; all day long I go about mourning. I am utterly bowed down and prostrate; all the day I go about mourning. I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long. I am bent over and greatly bowed down; I go in mourning all day long. I am bowed down and brought very low; all day long I go about mourning.
For my loins are full of burning pain, and no soundness remains in my body. For my sides are filled with burning, and there is no soundness in my flesh. For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh. For my sides are filled with burning, And there is no healthy part in my flesh. My back is filled with searing pain; there is no health in my body.
I am numb and badly crushed; I groan in anguish of heart. I am feeble and crushed; I groan because of the tumult of my heart. I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart. I feel faint and badly crushed; I groan because of the agitation of my heart. I am feeble and utterly crushed; I groan in anguish of heart.
O Lord, my every desire is before You; my groaning is not hidden from You. O Lord, all my longing is before you; my sighing is not hidden from you. Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee. Lord, all my desire is before You; And my sighing is not hidden from You. All my longings lie open before you, Lord; my sighing is not hidden from you.
My heart pounds, my strength fails, and even the light of my eyes has faded. My heart throbs; my strength fails me, and the light of my eyes—it also has gone from me. My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me. My heart throbs, my strength fails me; And the light of my eyes, even that has gone from me. My heart pounds, my strength fails me; even the light has gone from my eyes.
My beloved and friends shun my disease, and my kinsmen stand at a distance. My friends and companions stand aloof from my plague, and my nearest kin stand far off. My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off. My loved ones and my friends stand aloof from my plague; And my kinsmen stand far away. My friends and companions avoid me because of my wounds; my neighbors stay far away.
Those who seek my life lay snares; those who wish me harm speak destruction, plotting deceit all day long. Those who seek my life lay their snares; those who seek my hurt speak of ruin and meditate treachery all day long. They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long. Those who seek my life lay snares for me; And those who seek to injure me have threatened destruction, And they plot deception all day long. Those who want to kill me set their traps, those who would harm me talk of my ruin; all day long they scheme and lie.
But like a deaf man, I do not hear; and like a mute man, I do not open my mouth. But I am like a deaf man; I do not hear, like a mute man who does not open his mouth. But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth. But I, like a person who is deaf, do not hear; And I am like a person who cannot speak, who does not open his mouth. I am like the deaf, who cannot hear, like the mute, who cannot speak;
I am like a man who cannot hear, whose mouth offers no reply. I have become like a man who does not hear, and in whose mouth are no rebukes. Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs. Yes, I am like a person who does not hear, And in whose mouth are no arguments. I have become like one who does not hear, whose mouth can offer no reply.
I wait for You, O LORD; You will answer, O Lord my God. But for you, O LORD, do I wait; it is you, O Lord my God, who will answer. For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God. For I wait for You, LORD; You will answer, Lord my God. LORD, I wait for you; you will answer, Lord my God.
For I said, “Let them not gloat over me— those who taunt me when my foot slips.” For I said, “Only let them not rejoice over me, who boast against me when my foot slips!” For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me. For I said, “May they not rejoice over me, Who, when my foot slips, would exalt themselves over me.” For I said, “Do not let them gloat or exalt themselves over me when my feet slip.”
For I am ready to fall, and my pain is ever with me. For I am ready to fall, and my pain is ever before me. For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me. For I am ready to fall, And my sorrow is continually before me. For I am about to fall, and my pain is ever with me.
Yes, I confess my iniquity; I am troubled by my sin. I confess my iniquity; I am sorry for my sin. For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin. For I admit my guilt; I am full of anxiety because of my sin. I confess my iniquity; I am troubled by my sin.
Many are my enemies without cause, and many hate me without reason. But my foes are vigorous, they are mighty, and many are those who hate me wrongfully. But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied. But my enemies are vigorous and strong, And those who wrongfully hate me are many. Many have become my enemies without cause; those who hate me without reason are numerous.
Those who repay my good with evil attack me for pursuing the good. Those who render me evil for good accuse me because I follow after good. They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is. And those who repay evil for good, They become my enemies, because I follow what is good. Those who repay my good with evil lodge accusations against me, though I seek only to do what is good.
Do not forsake me, O LORD; be not far from me, O my God. Do not forsake me, O LORD! O my God, be not far from me! Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me. Do not abandon me, LORD; My God, do not be far from me! LORD, do not forsake me; do not be far from me, my God.
Come quickly to help me, O Lord my Savior. Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation! Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation. Hurry to help me, Lord, my salvation! Come quickly to help me, my Lord and my Savior.
