1  וַיְהִ֗י (And it came to pass), כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר (when) נִבְנְתָה֙ (was built) הַחוֹמָ֔ה (the wall), וָאַעֲמִ֖יד (and I had hung) הַדְּלָת֑וֹת (the doors), וַיִּפָּֽקְד֛וּ (and had been appointed) הַשּׁוֹעֲרִ֥ים (the gatekeepers) וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִ֖ים (and the singers) וְהַלְוִיִּֽם׃ (and the Levites), 2  וָאֲצַוֶּ֞ה (that I gave the charge) אֶת־ (-) חֲנָ֣נִי (to Hanani) אָחִ֗י (my brother) וְאֶת־ (and) חֲנַנְיָ֛ה (Hananiah) שַׂ֥ר (the leader) הַבִּירָ֖ה (of the citadel) עַל־ (of) יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם (Jerusalem), כִּי־ (for) הוּא֙ (he was) כְּאִ֣ישׁ (a man) אֱמֶ֔ת (faithful), וְיָרֵ֥א (and he feared) אֶת־ (-) הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים (God) מֵרַבִּֽים׃ (above many). 3  וַיֹּאמֶר (And I said) לָהֶ֗ם (to them), לֹ֣א (Not) יִפָּֽתְח֞וּ (let be opened) שַׁעֲרֵ֤י (the gates) יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ (of Jerusalem) עַד־ (until) חֹ֣ם (is hot) הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ (the sun). וְעַ֨ד (And while) הֵ֥ם (they) עֹמְדִ֛ים (are standing by), יָגִ֥יפוּ (let them shut) הַדְּלָת֖וֹת (the doors), וֶאֱחֹ֑זוּ (and fasten), וְהַעֲמֵ֗יד (and appoint) מִשְׁמְרוֹת֙ (guards) יֹשְׁבֵ֣י (of the inhabitants) יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם (of Jerusalem), אִ֚ישׁ (each man) בְּמִשְׁמָר֔וֹ (at his station), וְאִ֖ישׁ (and a man) נֶ֥גֶד (in front) בֵּיתֽוֹ׃ (of his house).

4  וְהָעִ֞יר (And the city was) רַחֲבַ֤ת (was wide on) יָדַ֙יִם֙ (two hands) וּגְדוֹלָ֔ה (and great), וְהָעָ֥ם (and the people were) מְעַ֖ט (few) בְּתוֹכָ֑הּ (in its midst), וְאֵ֥ין (and not) בָּתִּ֖ים (the houses) בְּנוּיִֽם׃ (had been rebuilt). 5  וַיִּתֵּ֤ן (And put it) אֱלֹהַי֙ (my God) אֶל־ (into) לִבִּ֔י (my heart), וָאֶקְבְּצָ֞ה (and I gathered) אֶת־ (-) הַחֹרִ֧ים (the nobles) וְאֶת־ (and) הַסְּגָנִ֛ים (the rulers) וְאֶת־ (and) הָעָ֖ם (the people), לְהִתְיַחֵ֑שׂ (that they might be registered by genealogy). וָֽאֶמְצָ֗א (And I found) סֵ֤פֶר (a register) הַיַּ֙חַשׂ֙ (of the genealogy) הָעוֹלִ֣ים (of those who had come up) בָּרִאשׁוֹנָ֔ה (at the first), וָאֶמְצָ֖א (and I found) כָּת֥וּב (written) בּֽוֹ׃פ (in it):

6  אֵ֣לֶּה׀ (These are) בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) הַמְּדִינָ֗ה (of the province) הָעֹלִים֙ (who came back) מִשְּׁבִ֣י (from the captivity) הַגּוֹלָ֔ה (of the exiles), אֲשֶׁ֣ר (whom) הֶגְלָ֔ה (had carried away) נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֖ר (Nebuchadnezzar) מֶ֣לֶךְ (the king) בָּבֶ֑ל (of Babylon), וַיָּשׁ֧וּבוּ (and who returned) לִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֛ם (to Jerusalem) וְלִיהוּדָ֖ה (and Judah), אִ֥ישׁ (each man) לְעִירֽוֹ׃ (to his city), 7  הַבָּאִ֣ים (who came in) עִם־ (with) זְרֻבָּבֶ֗ל (Zerubbabel), יֵשׁ֡וּעַ (Jeshua), נְחֶמְיָ֡ה (Nehemiah), עֲ֠זַרְיָה (Azariah), רַֽעַמְיָ֨ה (Raamiah), נַחֲמָ֜נִי (Nahamani), מָרְדֳּכַ֥י (Mordecai), בִּלְשָׁ֛ן (Bilshan), מִסְפֶּ֥רֶת (Mispereth), בִּגְוַ֖י (Bigvai), נְח֣וּם (Nehum), בַּעֲנָ֑ה (and Baanah).

מִסְפַּ֕ר (The number) אַנְשֵׁ֖י (of the men) עַ֥ם (of the people) יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ס (of Israel):

8  בְּנֵ֣י (The sons) פַרְעֹ֔שׁ (of Parosh), אַלְפַּ֕יִם (two thousand) מֵאָ֖ה (one hundred) וְשִׁבְעִ֥ים (and seventy) וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃ס (and two);

9  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) שְׁפַטְיָ֔ה (of Shephatiah), שְׁלֹ֥שׁ (three) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) שִׁבְעִ֥ים (seventy) וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃ס (and two);

10  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) אָרַ֔ח (of Arah), שֵׁ֥שׁ (six) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים (fifty) וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃ס (and two);

11  בְּנֵֽי־ (the sons) פַחַ֥ת (of Pahath-) מוֹאָ֛ב (moab) לִבְנֵ֥י (of the sons) יֵשׁ֖וּעַ (of Jeshua) וְיוֹאָ֑ב (and Joab)), אַלְפַּ֕יִם (two thousand) וּשְׁמֹנֶ֥ה (and eight) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) שְׁמֹנָ֥ה (eight) עָשָֽׂר׃ס (and ten);

12  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) עֵילָ֔ם (of Elam), אֶ֕לֶף (one thousand) מָאתַ֖יִם (two hundred) חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים (fifty) וְאַרְבָּעָֽה׃ס (and four);

13  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) זַתּ֔וּא (of Zattu), שְׁמֹנֶ֥ה (eight) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) אַרְבָּעִ֥ים (forty) וַחֲמִשָּֽׁה׃ס (and five);

14  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) זַכָּ֔י (of Zaccai), שְׁבַ֥ע (seven) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) וְשִׁשִּֽׁים׃ס (and sixty);

15  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) בִנּ֔וּי (of Binnui), שֵׁ֥שׁ (six) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) אַרְבָּעִ֥ים (forty) וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃ס (and eight);

16  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) בֵבָ֔י (of Bebai), שֵׁ֥שׁ (six) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) עֶשְׂרִ֥ים (twenty) וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃ס (and eight);

17  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) עַזְגָּ֔ד (of Azgad), אַלְפַּ֕יִם (two thousand) שְׁלֹ֥שׁ (three) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) עֶשְׂרִ֥ים (twenty) וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃ס (and two);

18  בְּנֵי֙ (the sons) אֲדֹ֣נִיקָ֔ם (of Adonikam), שֵׁ֥שׁ (six) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) שִׁשִּׁ֥ים (sixty) וְשִׁבְעָֽה׃ס (and seven);

19  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) בִגְוָ֔י (of Bigvai), אַלְפַּ֖יִם (two thousand) שִׁשִּׁ֥ים (sixty) וְשִׁבְעָֽה׃ס (and seven);

20  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) עָדִ֔ין (of Adin), שֵׁ֥שׁ (six) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים (fifty) וַחֲמִשָּֽׁה׃ס (and five);

21  בְּנֵֽי־ (the sons) אָטֵ֥ר (of Ater) לְחִזְקִיָּ֖ה (of Hezekiah)), תִּשְׁעִ֥ים (ninety) וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃ס (and eight);

22  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) חָשֻׁ֔ם (of Hashum), שְׁלֹ֥שׁ (three) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) עֶשְׂרִ֥ים (twenty) וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃ס (and eight);

23  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) בֵצָ֔י (of Bezai), שְׁלֹ֥שׁ (three) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) עֶשְׂרִ֥ים (twenty) וְאַרְבָּעָֽה׃ס (and four);

24  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) חָרִ֔יף (of Hariph), מֵאָ֖ה (a hundred) שְׁנֵ֥ים (two) עָשָֽׂר׃ס (and ten);

25  בְּנֵ֥י (the sons) גִבְע֖וֹן (of Gibeon), תִּשְׁעִ֥ים (ninety) וַחֲמִשָּֽׁה׃ס (and five);

26  אַנְשֵׁ֤י (the men) בֵֽית־ (of Beth-) לֶ֙חֶם֙ (lehem) וּנְטֹפָ֔ה (and Netophah), מֵאָ֖ה (a hundred) שְׁמֹנִ֥ים (eighty) וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃ס (and eight);

27  אַנְשֵׁ֣י (the men) עֲנָת֔וֹת (of Anathoth), מֵאָ֖ה (a hundred) עֶשְׂרִ֥ים (twenty) וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃ס (and eight);

28  אַנְשֵׁ֥י (the men) בֵית־ (of Beth-) עַזְמָ֖וֶת (azmaveth), אַרְבָּעִ֥ים (forty) וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃ס (and two);

29  אַנְשֵׁ֨י (the men) קִרְיַ֤ת (of Kiriath-) יְעָרִים֙ (jearim), כְּפִירָ֣ה (Chephirah), וּבְאֵר֔וֹת (and Beeroth), שְׁבַ֥ע (seven) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) אַרְבָּעִ֥ים (forty) וּשְׁלֹשָֽׁה׃ס (and three);

30  אַנְשֵׁ֤י (the men) הָֽרָמָה֙ (of Ramah) וָגָ֔בַע (and Geba), שֵׁ֥שׁ (six) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) עֶשְׂרִ֥ים (twenty) וְאֶחָֽד׃ס (and one);

31  אַנְשֵׁ֣י (the men) מִכְמָ֔ס (of Michmas), מֵאָ֖ה (a hundred) וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים (and twenty) וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃ס (and two);

32  אַנְשֵׁ֤י (the men) בֵֽית־ (of Beth-) אֵל֙ (el) וְהָעָ֔י (and Ai), מֵאָ֖ה (a hundred) עֶשְׂרִ֥ים (twenty) וּשְׁלֹשָֽׁה׃ס (and three);

33  אַנְשֵׁ֥י (the men) נְב֛וֹ (of Nebo) אַחֵ֖ר (the other), חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים (fifty) וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃ס (and two);

34  בְּנֵי֙ (the sons) עֵילָ֣ם (of Elam) אַחֵ֔ר (the other), אֶ֕לֶף (a thousand) מָאתַ֖יִם (two hundred) חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים (fifty) וְאַרְבָּעָֽה׃ס (and four);

35  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) חָרִ֔ם (of Harim), שְׁלֹ֥שׁ (three) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) וְעֶשְׂרִֽים׃ס (and twenty);

36  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) יְרֵח֔וֹ (of Jericho), שְׁלֹ֥שׁ (three) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) אַרְבָּעִ֥ים (forty) וַחֲמִשָּֽׁה׃ס (and five);

37  בְּנֵי־ (the sons) לֹד֙ (of Lod), חָדִ֣יד (Hadid), וְאוֹנ֔וֹ (and Ono), שְׁבַ֥ע (seven) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים (and twenty) וְאֶחָֽד׃ס (and one);

38  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) סְנָאָ֔ה (of Senaah), שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת (three) אֲלָפִ֔ים (thousand) תְּשַׁ֥ע (nine) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) וּשְׁלֹשִֽׁים׃פ (and thirty).

39  הַֽכֹּהֲנִ֑ים (The priests):

בְּנֵ֤י (The sons) יְדַֽעְיָה֙ (of Jedaiah) לְבֵ֣ית (of the house) יֵשׁ֔וּעַ (of Jeshua)), תְּשַׁ֥ע (nine) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) שִׁבְעִ֥ים (seventy) וּשְׁלֹשָֽׁה׃ס (and three);

40  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) אִמֵּ֔ר (of Immer), אֶ֖לֶף (a thousand) חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים (fifty) וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃ס (and two);

41  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) פַשְׁח֔וּר (of Pashhur), אֶ֕לֶף (a thousand) מָאתַ֖יִם (two hundred) אַרְבָּעִ֥ים (forty) וְשִׁבְעָֽה׃ס (and seven);

42  בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) חָרִ֔ם (of Harim), אֶ֖לֶף (a thousand) שִׁבְעָ֥ה (and seven) עָשָֽׂר׃פ (and ten).

43  הַלְוִיִּ֑ם (The Levites):

בְּנֵֽי־ (The sons) יֵשׁ֧וּעַ (of Jeshua) לְקַדְמִיאֵ֛ל (of Kadmiel) לִבְנֵ֥י (and of the sons) לְהוֹדְוָ֖ה (of Hodevah)), שִׁבְעִ֥ים (seventy) וְאַרְבָּעָֽה׃ס (and four).

44  הַֽמְשֹׁרְרִ֑ים (The singers):

בְּנֵ֣י (The sons) אָסָ֔ף (of Asaph), מֵאָ֖ה (a hundred) אַרְבָּעִ֥ים (forty) וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃ס (and eight).

45  הַשֹּֽׁעֲרִ֗ים (The gatekeepers):

בְּנֵֽי־ (The sons) שַׁלּ֤וּם (of Shallum),

בְּנֵֽי־ (the sons) אָטֵר֙ (of Ater),

בְּנֵֽי־ (the sons) טַלְמֹ֣ן (of Talmon),

בְּנֵֽי־ (the sons) עַקּ֔וּב (of Akkub),

בְּנֵ֥י (the sons) חֲטִיטָ֖א (of Hatita),

בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) שֹׁבָ֑י (of Shobai),

מֵאָ֖ה (a hundred) שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים (thirty) וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃ס (and eight).

46  הַנְּתִינִ֑ים (The Nethinim):

בְּנֵי־ (The sons) צִחָ֥א (of Ziha),

בְנֵי־ (the sons) חֲשֻׂפָ֖א (of Hasupha),

בְּנֵ֥י (the sons) טַבָּעֽוֹת׃ (of Tabbaoth),

47  בְּנֵי־ (the sons) קֵירֹ֥ס (of Keros),

בְּנֵי־ (the sons) סִיעָ֖א (of Sia),

בְּנֵ֥י (the sons) פָדֽוֹן׃ (of Padon),

48  בְּנֵי־ (the sons) לְבָנָ֥ה (of Lebanah),

בְנֵי־ (the sons) חֲגָבָ֖ה (of Hagabah),

54  בְּנֵי־ (the sons) בַצְלִ֥ית (of Bazlith),

55  בְּנֵי־ (the sons) בַרְק֥וֹס (of Barkos),

בְּֽנֵי־ (the sons) סִֽיסְרָ֖א (of Sisera),

בְּנֵי־ (the sons) תָֽמַח׃ (of Temah),

56  בְּנֵ֥י (the sons) נְצִ֖יחַ (of Neziah),

בְּנֵ֥י (and the sons) חֲטִיפָֽא׃ (of Hatipha).

57  בְּנֵ֖י (The sons) עַבְדֵ֣י (of the servants) שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה (of Solomon):

בְּנֵי־ (The sons) סוֹטַ֥י (of Sotai),

בְּנֵי־ (the sons) סוֹפֶ֖רֶת (of Sophereth),

בְּנֵ֥י (the sons) פְרִידָֽא׃ (of Perida),

58  בְּנֵי־ (the sons) יַעְלָ֥א (of Jaala),

בְנֵי־ (the sons) דַרְק֖וֹן (of Darkon),

בְּנֵ֥י (the sons) גִדֵּֽל׃ (of Giddel),

59  בְּנֵ֧י (the sons) שְׁפַטְיָ֣ה (of Shephatiah),

בְנֵֽי־ (the sons) חַטִּ֗יל (of Hattil),

בְּנֵ֛י (the sons) פֹּכֶ֥רֶת (of Pochereth-) הַצְּבָיִ֖ים (hazzebaim),

בְּנֵ֥י (the sons) אָמֽוֹן׃ (of Amon).

60  כָּל־ (All) הַ֨נְּתִינִ֔ים (the Nethinim) וּבְנֵ֖י (and the sons) עַבְדֵ֣י (of servants) שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה (of Solomon) שְׁלֹ֥שׁ (were three) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) תִּשְׁעִ֥ים (ninety) וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃פ (and two).

61  וְאֵ֗לֶּה (And these were) הָֽעוֹלִים֙ (those who went up) מִתֵּ֥ל (from Tel-) מֶ֙לַח֙ (melah), תֵּ֣ל (Tel-) חַרְשָׁ֔א (harsha), כְּר֥וּב (Cherub), אַדּ֖וֹן (Addon), וְאִמֵּ֑ר (and Immer), וְלֹ֣א (not) יָכְל֗וּ (they were able) לְהַגִּ֤יד (to declare) בֵּית־ (the house) אֲבוֹתָם֙ (of their fathers) וְזַרְעָ֔ם (and their seed), אִ֥ם (whether) מִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֖ל (of Israel) הֵֽם׃ (they were):

62  בְּנֵי־ (The sons) דְלָיָ֥ה (of Delaiah),

בְנֵֽי־ (the sons) טוֹבִיָּ֖ה (of Tobiah),

בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) נְקוֹדָ֑א (of Nekoda),

שֵׁ֥שׁ (six) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) וְאַרְבָּעִ֥ים (and forty) וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃ס (and two).

63  וּמִן־ (And) הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים (of the priests): בְּנֵ֥י (The sons) חֳבַיָּ֖ה (of Hobaiah),

בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) הַקּ֑וֹץ (of Hakkoz),

בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) בַרְזִלַּ֗י (of Barzillai) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (who) לָ֠קַח (took) מִבְּנ֞וֹת (of the daughters) בַּרְזִלַּ֤י (of Barzillai) הַגִּלְעָדִי֙ (the Gileadite) אִשָּׁ֔ה (a wife), וַיִּקָּרֵ֖א (and was called) עַל־ (by) שְׁמָֽם׃ (their name))

64  אֵ֗לֶּה (these) בִּקְשׁ֧וּ (sought) כְתָבָ֛ם (their listing) הַמִּתְיַחְשִׂ֖ים (among those who were registered by genealogy), וְלֹ֣א (not) נִמְצָ֑א (it was found), וַיְגֹֽאֲל֖וּ (and they were defiled) מִן־ (from) הַכְּהֻנָּֽה׃ (the priesthood). 65  וַיֹּ֤אמֶר (And said) הַתִּרְשָׁ֙תָא֙ (the Tirshatha) לָהֶ֔ם (to them) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (that) לֹא־ (not) יֹאכְל֖וּ (they should eat) מִקֹּ֣דֶשׁ (from the holy) הַקֳּדָשִׁ֑ים (of holies) עַ֛ד (until) עֲמֹ֥ד (stood) הַכֹּהֵ֖ן (the priest) לְאוּרִ֥ים (for Urim) וְתוּמִּֽים׃ (and Thummim).

66  כָּל־ (All) הַקָּהָ֖ל (the assembly was) כְּאֶחָ֑ד (as one)— אַרְבַּ֣ע (four) רִבּ֔וֹא (myriads) אַלְפַּ֖יִם (two thousand) שְׁלֹשׁ־ (three) מֵא֥וֹת (hundred) וְשִׁשִּֽׁים׃ (and sixty), 67  מִ֠לְּבַד (besides) עַבְדֵיהֶ֤ם (their menservants) וְאַמְהֹֽתֵיהֶם֙ (and maidservants), אֵ֔לֶּה (these) שִׁבְעַ֣ת (seven) אֲלָפִ֔ים (thousand) שְׁלֹ֥שׁ (three) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים (thirty) וְשִׁבְעָ֑ה (and seven), וְלָהֶ֗ם (and to them) מְשֹֽׁרֲרִים֙ (were singers) וּמְשֹׁ֣רֲר֔וֹת (and songstresses) מָאתַ֖יִם (two hundred) וְאַרְבָּעִ֥ים (and forty) וַחֲמִשָּֽׁה׃ס (and five). 68  69  גְּמַלִּ֕ים (Their camels), אַרְבַּ֥ע (four) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים (thirty) וַחֲמִשָּׁ֑הס (and five), חֲמֹרִ֕ים (and donkeys) שֵׁ֣שֶׁת (six) אֲלָפִ֔ים (thousand) שְׁבַ֥ע (seven) מֵא֖וֹת (hundred) וְעֶשְׂרִֽים׃ (and twenty).

70  וּמִקְצָת֙ (And some from the extremity) רָאשֵׁ֣י (of the heads) הָֽאָב֔וֹת (of the fathers) נָתְנ֖וּ (gave) לַמְּלָאכָ֑ה (to the work). הַתִּרְשָׁ֜תָא (The Tirshatha) נָתַ֣ן (gave) לָאוֹצָ֗ר (to the treasury) זָהָ֞ב (gold) דַּרְכְּמֹנִ֥ים (darics) אֶ֙לֶף֙ (a thousand), מִזְרָק֣וֹת (bowls) חֲמִשִּׁ֔ים (fifty), כָּתְנוֹת֙ (and garments) כֹּֽהֲנִ֔ים (priestly) שְׁלֹשִׁ֖ים (thirty) וַחֲמֵ֥שׁ (and five) מֵאֽוֹת׃ (hundred). 71  וּמֵֽרָאשֵׁ֣י (And some of the heads) הָֽאָב֗וֹת (of the fathers) נָֽתְנוּ֙ (they gave) לְאוֹצַ֣ר (to the treasury) הַמְּלָאכָ֔ה (of the work) זָהָ֕ב (of gold) דַּרְכְּמוֹנִ֖ים (darics) שְׁתֵּ֣י (two) רִבּ֑וֹת (myriads) וְכֶ֕סֶף (and silver) מָנִ֖ים (minas) אַלְפַּ֥יִם (two thousand) וּמָאתָֽיִם׃ (and two hundred). 72  וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר (That which) נָתְנוּ֮ (gave) שְׁאֵרִ֣ית (the rest) הָעָם֒ (of the people) זָהָ֗ב (of gold) דַּרְכְּמוֹנִים֙ (darics) שְׁתֵּ֣י (was two) רִבּ֔וֹא (myriads), וְכֶ֖סֶף (and silver) מָנִ֣ים (minas) אַלְפָּ֑יִם (two thousand), וְכָתְנֹ֥ת (and garments) כֹּֽהֲנִ֖ים (priestly) שִׁשִּׁ֥ים (sixty) וְשִׁבְעָֽה׃פ (and seven).

73  וַיֵּשְׁב֣וּ (And they dwelt)— הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים (the priests), וְהַלְוִיִּ֡ם (and the Levites), וְהַשּׁוֹעֲרִים֩ (and the gatekeepers), וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִ֨ים (and the singers), וּמִן־ (and some) הָעָ֧ם (of the people), וְהַנְּתִינִ֛ים (and the Nethinim), וְכָל־ (and all) יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל (Israel)— בְּעָרֵיהֶ֑ם (in their cities). וַיִּגַּע֙ (And arrived) הַחֹ֣דֶשׁ (the month) הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י (seventh), וּבְנֵ֥י (and the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל (of Israel) בְּעָרֵיהֶֽם׃ (were in their cities).
