Καὶ
εἶδον
ἐκ
τῆς
θαλάσσης
θηρίον
ἀναβαῖνον
ἔχον

αὐτοῦ

αὐτοῦ
ὀνόματα
βλασφημίας
Then
I saw
a beast
with
ten
horns
and
seven
heads
rising
out of
the
sea.
There were
ten
royal crowns
on
its
horns
and
blasphemous
names
on
its
heads.
And
I stood
upon
the sand
of the sea,
and
saw
a beast
rise up
out of
the sea,
having
seven
heads
and
ten
horns,
and
upon
his
horns
ten
crowns,
and
upon
his
heads
the name
of blasphemy.

αὐτῷ

δράκων

αὐτοῦ
καὶ
τὸν
θρόνον
αὐτοῦ
καὶ
ἐξουσίαν

The
beast
I saw
was
like
a leopard,
with
the
feet
of
a bear
and
the
mouth
of
a lion.
And
the
dragon
gave
the beast
his
power
and
his
throne
and
great
authority.
And
the beast
which
I saw
was
like
unto a leopard,
and
his
feet
were as
[the feet] of a bear,
and
his
mouth
as
the mouth
of a lion:
and
the dragon
gave
him
his
power,
and
his
seat,
and
great
authority.

αὐτοῦ

καὶ
ἐθαυμάσθη

τοῦ
θηρίου
One
of
the
heads
of the beast
appeared
to be mortally wounded.
But
the
mortal
wound
was healed,
and
the
whole
world
marveled
and followed
the
beast.
And
I saw
one
of his
heads
as it were
wounded
to
death;
and
his
deadly
wound
was healed:
and
all
the world
wondered
after
the beast.

They worshiped
the
dragon
who
had given
authority
to the
beast,
and
they worshiped
the
beast,
saying,
“Who
is like
the
beast,
and
who
can
wage war
against
it?
And
they worshipped
the dragon
which
gave
power
unto the beast:
and
they worshipped
the beast,
saying,
Who
[is] like
unto the beast?
who
is able
to make war
with
him?
5
Καὶ

καὶ
βλασφημίας
καὶ
ἐδόθη
αὐτῷ
ἐξουσία

τεσσεράκοντα
[καὶ]

The beast
was given
a mouth
to speak
arrogant
and
blasphemous words,
and
authority
to act
for 42
months.
And
there was given
unto him
a mouth
speaking
great things
and
blasphemies;
and
power
was given
unto him
to continue
forty
[and] two
months.

αὐτοῦ

And
the beast opened
its
mouth
to speak
blasphemies
against
God
and to slander
His
name
and
His
tabernacle—
those who
dwell
in
heaven.
And
he opened
his
mouth
in
blasphemy
against
God,
to blaspheme
his
name,
and
his
tabernacle,
and
them that dwell
in
heaven.

Καὶ

αὐτούς
καὶ
ἐδόθη
αὐτῷ

καὶ

Then
the beast
was permitted
to wage war
against
the
saints
and
to conquer
them,
and
it
was given
authority
over
every
tribe
and
people
and
tongue
and
nation.
And
it was given
unto him
to make
war
with
the saints,
and
to overcome
them:
and
power
was given
him
over
all
kindreds,
and
tongues,
and
nations.

And
all

will worship
the beast—
all whose
names
have not been written
from
the foundation

in
the

belonging to the

who

all

of the Lamb

“If

captivity,
into

he will go;
if
anyone
is to die
by
the sword,
by
the sword

Here
is a call for
the
perseverance
and
faith
of the
saints.
He that
leadeth

shall go
into
captivity:
he that
killeth
with

with
the sword.
Here
is
the patience

the faith
of the saints.

Then
I saw
another
beast
rising
out of
the
earth.
This beast had

this beast exercised
all
the

of the
first
beast
and
caused
the
earth
and
those who
dwell
in
it
to

the
first
beast,
whose

had been healed.
And
he exerciseth
all

the second beast performed
great

Because of
the
signs
it
was given
to perform
on behalf
of the first
beast,
it deceived
those who
dwell
on
the
earth,
telling
them
to make
an image
to the
beast
that
had been wounded
by the
sword
and yet
had lived.
And
deceiveth
them that dwell
on
the earth
by

which
he
had power

in the sight
of the beast;
saying
to them that dwell

did live.

The second beast was permitted
to give
breath
to the
image
of the
first beast,
so that
the
image
could speak
and
cause
all who
refused to worship
it
to be killed.
And
he
had power
to give
life
unto the image
of the beast,
that
the image

should

and
cause
that as many as
would
not

the image
of the beast
should be killed.
