The Word Brings Salvation

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
Brothers and sisters, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved.1Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.1Brethren, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation.1Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.1Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God concerning them is for their salvation!
For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge.2For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.2For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge.2For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.2I can testify about them that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness.3For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.3For not knowing about God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.3For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.3Because they disregarded the righteousness from God and attempted to establish their own righteousness, they have not submitted themselves to God's righteousness.
Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: "The person who does these things will live by them."5For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them.5For Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on law shall live by that righteousness.5For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.5For Moses writes about the righteousness that is from the law: The one who does these things will live by them.
But the righteousness that is by faith says: "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down)6But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down)6But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: "DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, 'WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?' (that is, to bring Christ down),6But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)6But the righteousness that comes from faith speaks like this: Do not say in your heart, "Who will go up to heaven?" that is, to bring Christ down
"or 'Who will descend into the deep?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).7“or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).7or 'WHO WILL DESCEND INTO THE ABYSS?' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead)."7Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)7or, "Who will go down into the abyss?" that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.
But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim:8But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim);8But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART "-- that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;8On the contrary, what does it say? The message is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. This is the message of faith that we proclaim:
If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.9because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.9that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.9If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.10For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.10for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.10One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.
As Scripture says, "Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame."11For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”11For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.11Now the Scripture says, Everyone who believes on Him will not be put to shame,
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.12for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, since the same Lord of all is rich to all who call on Him.
for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."13For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”13for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.13For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?14How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?14How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?14But how can they call on Him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a preacher?
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"15And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”15How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!"15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!15And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the gospel of good things!
But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our message?"16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?”16However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, "LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?"16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?16But all did not obey the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our message?
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.17So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.17So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.17So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.
But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did: "Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world."18But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have, for “Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.”18But I say, surely they have never heard, have they? Indeed they have; "THEIR VOICE HAS GONE OUT INTO ALL THE EARTH, AND THEIR WORDS TO THE ENDS OF THE WORLD."18But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.18But I ask, "Did they not hear?" Yes, they did: Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the inhabited world.
Again I ask: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says, "I will make you envious by those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that has no understanding."19But I ask, did Israel not understand? First Moses says, “I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; with a foolish nation I will make you angry.”19But I say, surely Israel did not know, did they? First Moses says, "I WILL MAKE YOU JEALOUS BY THAT WHICH IS NOT A NATION, BY A NATION WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING WILL I ANGER YOU."19But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.19But I ask, "Did Israel not understand?" First, Moses said: I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that lacks understanding.

And Isaiah boldly says, "I was found by those who did not seek me; I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me."20Then Isaiah is so bold as to say, “I have been found by those who did not seek me; I have shown myself to those who did not ask for me.”20And Isaiah is very bold and says, "I WAS FOUND BY THOSE WHO DID NOT SEEK ME, I BECAME MANIFEST TO THOSE WHO DID NOT ASK FOR ME."20But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.20And Isaiah says boldly: I was found by those who were not looking for Me; I revealed Myself to those who were not asking for Me.
But concerning Israel he says, "All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people."21But of Israel he says, “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”21But as for Israel He says, "ALL THE DAY LONG I HAVE STRETCHED OUT MY HANDS TO A DISOBEDIENT AND OBSTINATE PEOPLE."21But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.21But to Israel he says: All day long I have spread out My hands to a disobedient and defiant people.
