1 But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come. But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.

5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Turn away from such as these! having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth. They are depraved in mind and disqualified from the faith. But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all <i>men</i>, as theirs also was. But they will not make further progress; for their foolishness will be obvious to all, just as was that also of Jannes and Jambres. But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
10 You, however, have observed my teaching, my conduct, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my perseverance, You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance, You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance,
11 my persecutions, and the sufferings that came upon me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. What persecutions I endured! Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra—which persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me. 14 But as for you, continue in the things you have learned and firmly believed, since you know from whom you have learned them. And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
