You are to imitate me, just as I imitate Christ. Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ. Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
Now I commend you for remembering me in everything and for maintaining the traditions, just as I passed them on to you. Now I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I delivered them to you. Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you. Now I praise you because you remember me in everything and hold firmly to the traditions, just as I handed them down to you. I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the traditions just as I passed them on to you.
But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God. But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ. But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head, Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. Every man who has something on his head while praying or prophesying disgraces his head. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head.
And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for it is just as if her head were shaved. but every wife who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, since it is the same as if her head were shaven. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. But every woman who has her head uncovered while praying or prophesying disgraces her head, for it is one and the same as the woman whose head is shaved. But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved.
If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off. And if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head. For if a wife will not cover her head, then she should cut her hair short. But since it is disgraceful for a wife to cut off her hair or shave her head, let her cover her head. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For if a woman does not cover her head, have her also cut her hair off; however, if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, have her cover her head. For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head.
A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of man. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For a man should not have his head covered, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man.
For man did not come from woman, but woman from man. For man was not made from woman, but woman from man. For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. For man does not originate from woman, but woman from man; For man did not come from woman, but woman from man;
Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. for indeed man was not created for the woman’s sake, but woman for the man’s sake. neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.
For this reason a woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head, because of the angels. That is why a wife ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. Therefore the woman should have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. It is for this reason that a woman ought to have authority over her own head, because of the angels.
In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man nor man of woman; Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. However, in the Lord, neither is woman independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.
For just as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God. for as woman was made from man, so man is now born of woman. And all things are from God. For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God. For as the woman originated from the man, so also the man has his birth through the woman; and all things originate from God. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.
Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Judge for yourselves: is it proper for a wife to pray to God with her head uncovered? Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? Judge for yourselves: is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?
Doesn’t nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears long hair it is a disgrace for him, Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? Does even nature itself not teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him, Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him,
but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering. But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. but if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her? For her hair is given to her as a covering. but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering.
If anyone is inclined to dispute this, we have no other practice, nor do the churches of God. If anyone is inclined to be contentious, we have no such practice, nor do the churches of God. But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God. But if anyone is inclined to be contentious, we have no such practice, nor have the churches of God. If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice—nor do the churches of God.
In the following instructions I have no praise to offer, because your gatherings do more harm than good. But in the following instructions I do not commend you, because when you come together it is not for the better but for the worse. Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse. Now in giving this next instruction I do not praise you, because you come together not for the better, but for the worse. In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good.
First of all, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it. For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you. And I believe it in part, For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and in part I believe it. In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it.
And indeed, there must be differences among you to show which of you are approved. for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized. For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. For there also have to be factions among you, so that those who are approved may become evident among you. No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God’s approval.
Now then, when you come together, it is not the Lord’s Supper you eat. When you come together, it is not the Lord’s supper that you eat. When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper. Therefore when you come together it is not to eat the Lord’s Supper, So then, when you come together, it is not the Lord’s Supper you eat,
For as you eat, each of you goes ahead without sharing his meal. While one remains hungry, another gets drunk. For in eating, each one goes ahead with his own meal. One goes hungry, another gets drunk. For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken. for when you eat, each one takes his own supper first; and one goes hungry while another gets drunk. for when you are eating, some of you go ahead with your own private suppers. As a result, one person remains hungry and another gets drunk.
Don’t you have your own homes in which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What can I say to you? Shall I praise you for this? No, I will not! What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I commend you in this? No, I will not. What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not. What! Do you not have houses in which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the church of God and shame those who have nothing? What am I to say to you? Shall I praise you? In this I do not praise you. Don’t you have homes to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God by humiliating those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? Certainly not in this matter!
For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night He was betrayed, took bread, For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night when He was betrayed, took bread; For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,
and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me. In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. In the same way He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy way, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.
Each one must examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. But a person must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup.
For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body eats and drinks judgment on himself. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For the one who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not properly recognize the body. For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves.
That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number are asleep. That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.
Now if we judged ourselves properly, we would not come under judgment. But if we judged ourselves truly, we would not be judged. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged. But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment.
But when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world. But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord so that we will not be condemned along with the world. Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world.
So, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. So then, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another— Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. So then, my brothers and sisters, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. So then, my brothers and sisters, when you gather to eat, you should all eat together.
If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that when you come together it will not result in judgment. And when I come, I will give instructions about the remaining matters. if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home—so that when you come together it will not be for judgment. About the other things I will give directions when I come. And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come. If anyone is hungry, have him eat at home, so that you do not come together for judgment. As to the remaining matters, I will give instructions when I come. Anyone who is hungry should eat something at home, so that when you meet together it may not result in judgment. And when I come I will give further directions.
