2 To the saints and faithful brothers in Christ at Colossae: Grace and peace to you from God our Father. 5 the faith and love proceeding from the hope stored up for you in heaven, of which you have already heard in the word of truth, the gospel because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel, For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; because of the hope reserved for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel
6 that has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood the grace of God. which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and increasing—as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth, Which is come unto you, as <i>it is</i> in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as <i>it doth</i> also in you, since the day ye heard <i>of it</i>, and knew the grace of God in truth: which has come to you, just as in all the world also it is bearing fruit and increasing, even as <i>it has been doing</i> in you also since the day you heard <i>it</i> and understood the grace of God in truth; that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.
7 You learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf, just as you learned it from Epaphras our beloved fellow servant. 9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, For this cause we also, since the day we heard <i>it</i>, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; For this reason we also, since the day we heard <i>about it,</i> have not ceased praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,
10 so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please <i>Him</i> in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
11 being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have full endurance and patience, and joyfully being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all perseverance and patience; joyously being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,

21 Once you were alienated from God and were hostile in your minds because of your evil deeds. And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in <i>your</i> mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled And although you were previously alienated and hostile in attitude, <i>engaged</i> in evil deeds, Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.
22 But now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy, unblemished, and blameless in His presence — he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: yet He has now reconciled you in His body of flesh through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach— But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—
23 if indeed you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope of the gospel you heard, which has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant. if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister. If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and <i>be</i> not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, <i>and</i> which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister. if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions for the sake of His body, which is the church. Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am supplementing what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions in behalf of His body, which is the church. 25 I became its servant by the commission God gave me to fully proclaim to you the word of God, of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; I was made a minister of this <i>church</i> according to the commission from God granted to me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out <i>the preaching of</i> the word of God, I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness—
26 the mystery that was hidden for ages and generations but is now revealed to His saints. the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. <i>Even</i> the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: <i>that is,</i> the mystery which had been hidden from the <i>past</i> ages and generations, but now has been revealed to His saints, the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people.
27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: We proclaim Him, admonishing every person and teaching every person with all wisdom, so that we may present every person complete in Christ. He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.
29 To this end I also labor, striving with all His energy working powerfully within me. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me. Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily. For this purpose I also labor, striving according to His power which works mightily within me. To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.
