1 Once again Jesus entered the synagogue, and a man with a withered hand was there. Again he entered the synagogue, and a man was there with a withered hand. And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand. He entered a synagogue again; and a man was there whose hand was withered. Another time Jesus went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there.
2 In order to accuse Jesus, they were watching to see if He would heal on the Sabbath. And they watched Jesus, to see whether he would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse him. And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him. And they were watching Him closely <i>to see</i> if He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him. Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath.
3 Then Jesus said to the man with the withered hand, “Stand up among us. And he said to the man with the withered hand, “Come here.” And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth. He said to the man with the withered hand, “Get up and come forward!” Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Stand up in front of everyone.”
4 And He asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it? But they were silent. And he said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent. And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace. And He said to them, “Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do harm, to save a life or to kill?” But they kept silent. Then Jesus asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent.
5 Jesus looked around at them with anger and sorrow at their hardness of heart. Then He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand. So he stretched it out, and it was restored. And he looked around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored. And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched <i>it</i> out: and his hand was restored whole as the other. After looking around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored. He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.
6 At this, the Pharisees went out and began plotting with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus. The Pharisees went out and immediately held counsel with the Herodians against him, how to destroy him. And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him. The Pharisees went out and immediately <i>began</i> conspiring with the Herodians against Him, <i>as to</i> how they might put Him to death. Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.
7 So Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the sea, accompanied by a large crowd from Galilee, Judea, Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea, and a great crowd followed, from Galilee and Judea But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea, Jesus withdrew to the sea with His disciples; and a large multitude from Galilee followed, and <i>also</i> from Judea, Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed.
8 Jerusalem, Idumea, the region beyond the Jordan, and the vicinity of Tyre and Sidon. The large crowd came to Him when they heard what great things He was doing. and Jerusalem and Idumea and from beyond the Jordan and from around Tyre and Sidon. When the great crowd heard all that he was doing, they came to him. And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and <i>from</i> beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him. and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and beyond the Jordan, and the vicinity of Tyre and Sidon, a great number of people heard about everything that He was doing and came to Him. When they heard about all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon.
9 Jesus asked His disciples to have a boat ready for Him so that the crowd would not crush Him. And he told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, lest they crush him, And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him. And He told His disciples <i>to see</i> that a boat would be ready for Him because of the masses, so that they would not crowd Him; Because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him, to keep the people from crowding him.
10 For He had healed so many that all who had diseases were pressing forward to touch Him. for he had healed many, so that all who had diseases pressed around him to touch him. For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues. for He had healed many, with the result that all those who had diseases pushed in around Him in order to touch Him. For he had healed many, so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him.
11 And when the unclean spirits saw Him, they fell down before Him and cried out, “You are the Son of God! And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God. And whenever the unclean spirits saw Him, they would fall down before Him and shout, “You are the Son of God!” Whenever the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.”
12 But He warned them sternly not to make Him known. And he strictly ordered them not to make him known. And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known. And He strongly warned them not to reveal who He was. But he gave them strict orders not to tell others about him.
13 Then Jesus went up on the mountain and called for those He wanted, and they came to Him. And he went up on the mountain and called to him those whom he desired, and they came to him. And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth <i>unto him</i> whom he would: and they came unto him. And He went up on the mountain and summoned those whom He Himself wanted, and they came to Him. Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him.
14 He appointed twelve of them, whom He designated as apostles, to accompany Him, to be sent out to preach, And he appointed twelve (whom he also named apostles) so that they might be with him and he might send them out to preach And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, And He appointed twelve, so that they would be with Him and that He <i>could</i> send them out to preach, He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach
15 and to have authority to drive out demons. and have authority to cast out demons. And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils: and to have authority to cast out the demons. and to have authority to drive out demons.

20 Then Jesus went home, and once again a crowd gathered, so that He and His disciples could not even eat. Then he went home, and the crowd gathered again, so that they could not even eat. And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. And He came home, and the crowd gathered again, to such an extent that they could not even eat a meal. Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat.
21 When His family heard about this, they went out to take custody of Him, saying, “He is out of His mind. And when his family heard it, they went out to seize him, for they were saying, “He is out of his mind.” And when his friends heard <i>of it</i>, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself. And when His own people heard <i>about this,</i> they came out to take custody of Him; for they were saying, “He has lost His senses.” When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”
22 And the scribes who had come down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul, and, “By the prince of the demons He drives out demons. And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and “by the prince of demons he casts out the demons.” And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. The scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and “He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons.” And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.”
23 So Jesus called them together and began to speak to them in parables: “How can Satan drive out Satan? And he called them to him and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan? And he called them <i>unto him</i>, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? And <i>so</i> He called them to Himself and <i>began</i> speaking to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan? So Jesus called them over to him and began to speak to them in parables: “How can Satan drive out Satan?
24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot stand. If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 If a house is divided against itself, it cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 And if Satan is divided and rises against himself, he cannot stand; his end has come. And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but he is finished! And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come.
27 Indeed, no one can enter a strong man’s house to steal his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can plunder his house. But no one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. Then indeed he may plunder his house. No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. But no one can enter the strong man’s house and plunder his property unless he first ties up the strong man, and then he will plunder his house. In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man’s house.
28 Truly I tell you, the sons of men will be forgiven all sins and blasphemies, as many as they utter. “Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: “Truly I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons <i>and daughters</i> of men, and whatever blasphemies they commit; Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter,
29 But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of eternal sin. but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”— But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”— but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.”
30 Jesus made this statement because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit. for they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.” Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit. because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.” He said this because they were saying, “He has an impure spirit.”
31 Then Jesus’ mother and brothers came and stood outside. They sent someone in to summon Him, And his mother and his brothers came, and standing outside they sent to him and called him. There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him. Then His mother and His brothers came, and while standing outside they sent <i>word</i> to Him, calling <i>for</i> Him. Then Jesus’ mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him.
32 and a crowd was sitting around Him. “Look, He was told, “Your mother and brothers are outside, asking for You. And a crowd was sitting around him, and they said to him, “Your mother and your brothers are outside, seeking you.” And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. And a crowd was sitting around Him, and they said to Him, “Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are outside looking for You.” A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, “Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you.”
33 But Jesus replied, “Who are My mother and My brothers? And he answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? Answering them, He said, “Who are My mother and My brothers?” “Who are my mother and my brothers?” he asked.
34 Looking at those seated in a circle around Him, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! And looking about at those who sat around him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! And looking around at those who were sitting around Him, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, “Here are my mother and my brothers!
35 For whoever does the will of God is My brother and sister and mother. For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.” For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother. For whoever does the will of God, this is My brother, and sister, and mother.” Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”
