1If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.1Εἰ οὖν συνηγέρθητε τῷ Χριστῷ τὰ ἄνω ζητεῖτε οὗ ὁ Χριστός ἐστιν ἐν δεξιᾷ τοῦ Θεοῦ καθήμενος
2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.2τὰ ἄνω φρονεῖτε μὴ τὰ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.3ἀπεθάνετε γάρ καὶ ἡ ζωὴ ὑμῶν κέκρυπται σὺν τῷ Χριστῷ ἐν τῷ Θεῷ
4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.4ὅταν ὁ Χριστὸς φανερωθῇ ἡ ζωὴ ὑμῶν* τότε καὶ ὑμεῖς σὺν αὐτῷ φανερωθήσεσθε ἐν δόξῃ
5Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:5Νεκρώσατε οὖν τὰ μέλη τὰ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς πορνείαν ἀκαθαρσίαν πάθος ἐπιθυμίαν κακήν καὶ τὴν πλεονεξίαν ἥτις ἐστὶν εἰδωλολατρία
6For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:6δι’ ἃ ἔρχεται ἡ ὀργὴ τοῦ Θεοῦ ‹ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῆς ἀπειθείας›
7In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.7ἐν οἷς καὶ ὑμεῖς περιεπατήσατέ ποτε ὅτε ἐζῆτε ἐν τούτοις
8But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.8νυνὶ δὲ ἀπόθεσθε καὶ ὑμεῖς τὰ πάντα ὀργήν θυμόν κακίαν βλασφημίαν αἰσχρολογίαν ἐκ τοῦ στόματος ὑμῶν
9Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;9Μὴ ψεύδεσθε εἰς ἀλλήλους ἀπεκδυσάμενοι τὸν παλαιὸν ἄνθρωπον σὺν ταῖς πράξεσιν αὐτοῦ
10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:10καὶ ἐνδυσάμενοι τὸν νέον τὸν ἀνακαινούμενον εἰς ἐπίγνωσιν κατ’ εἰκόνα τοῦ κτίσαντος αὐτόν
11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.11ὅπου οὐκ ἔνι Ἕλλην καὶ Ἰουδαῖος περιτομὴ καὶ ἀκροβυστία βάρβαρος Σκύθης δοῦλος ἐλεύθερος ἀλλὰ ‹τὰ› πάντα καὶ ἐν πᾶσιν Χριστός
12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;12Ἐνδύσασθε οὖν ὡς ἐκλεκτοὶ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἅγιοι καὶ ἠγαπημένοι σπλάγχνα οἰκτιρμοῦ χρηστότητα ταπεινοφροσύνην πραΰτητα μακροθυμίαν
13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.13ἀνεχόμενοι ἀλλήλων καὶ χαριζόμενοι ἑαυτοῖς ἐάν τις πρός τινα ἔχῃ μομφήν καθὼς καὶ ὁ Κύριος ἐχαρίσατο ὑμῖν οὕτως καὶ ὑμεῖς
14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.14ἐπὶ πᾶσιν δὲ τούτοις τὴν ἀγάπην ὅ ἐστιν σύνδεσμος τῆς τελειότητος
15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.15καὶ ἡ εἰρήνη τοῦ Χριστοῦ βραβευέτω ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν εἰς ἣν καὶ ἐκλήθητε ἐν ἑνὶ σώματι καὶ εὐχάριστοι γίνεσθε
16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.16Ὁ λόγος τοῦ Χριστοῦ ἐνοικείτω ἐν ὑμῖν πλουσίως ἐν πάσῃ σοφίᾳ διδάσκοντες καὶ νουθετοῦντες ἑαυτοὺς ψαλμοῖς ὕμνοις ᾠδαῖς πνευματικαῖς ἐν τῇ χάριτι ᾄδοντες ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν τῷ Θεῷ
17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.17καὶ πᾶν ὅ τι ἐὰν ποιῆτε ἐν λόγῳ ἢ ἐν ἔργῳ πάντα ἐν ὀνόματι Κυρίου Ἰησοῦ εὐχαριστοῦντες τῷ Θεῷ Πατρὶ δι’ αὐτοῦ
18Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.18Αἱ γυναῖκες ὑποτάσσεσθε τοῖς ἀνδράσιν ὡς ἀνῆκεν ἐν Κυρίῳ
19Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.19Οἱ ἄνδρες ἀγαπᾶτε τὰς γυναῖκας καὶ μὴ πικραίνεσθε πρὸς αὐτάς
20Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.20Τὰ τέκνα ὑπακούετε τοῖς γονεῦσιν κατὰ πάντα τοῦτο γὰρ εὐάρεστόν ἐστιν ἐν Κυρίῳ
21Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.21Οἱ πατέρες μὴ ἐρεθίζετε τὰ τέκνα ὑμῶν ἵνα μὴ ἀθυμῶσιν
22Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:22Οἱ δοῦλοι ὑπακούετε κατὰ πάντα τοῖς κατὰ σάρκα κυρίοις μὴ ἐν ὀφθαλμοδουλίαις ὡς ἀνθρωπάρεσκοι ἀλλ’ ἐν ἁπλότητι καρδίας φοβούμενοι τὸν Κύριον
23And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;23Ὃ ἐὰν ποιῆτε ἐκ ψυχῆς ἐργάζεσθε ὡς τῷ Κυρίῳ καὶ οὐκ ἀνθρώποις
24Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.24εἰδότες ὅτι ἀπὸ Κυρίου ἀπολήμψεσθε τὴν ἀνταπόδοσιν τῆς κληρονομίας τῷ Κυρίῳ Χριστῷ δουλεύετε
25But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.25ὁ γὰρ ἀδικῶν κομίσεται ὃ ἠδίκησεν καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν προσωπολημψία
