1 Ἐγένετο (It came to pass) δὲ (then) ἐν (in) τῷ (-) τὸν (the) ὄχλον (crowd) ἐπικεῖσθαι (pressing on) αὐτῷ (Him) καὶ (also) ἀκούειν (to hear) τὸν (the) λόγον (word) τοῦ (of) Θεοῦ (God), καὶ (that) αὐτὸς (He) ἦν (was) ἑστὼς (standing) παρὰ (by) τὴν (the) λίμνην (lake) Γεννησαρέτ (of Gennesaret),
2 καὶ (And) εἶδεν (He saw) δύο (two) πλοῖα (boats) ἑστῶτα (standing) παρὰ (by) τὴν (the) λίμνην (lake)· οἱ (-) δὲ (but) ἁλιεῖς (the fishermen) ἀπ’ (from) αὐτῶν (them) ἀποβάντες (having gone away) ἔπλυνον (were washing) τὰ (the) δίκτυα (nets).
3 ἐμβὰς (Having entered) δὲ (then) εἰς (into) ἓν (one) τῶν (of the) πλοίων (boats), ὃ (which) ἦν (was) Σίμωνος (Simon’s), ἠρώτησεν (He asked) αὐτὸν (him) ἀπὸ (from) τῆς (the) γῆς (land) ἐπαναγαγεῖν (to put out) ὀλίγον (a little)· καθίσας (Having sat down) δὲ (then) ἐκ (out of) τοῦ (the) πλοίου (boat) ἐδίδασκεν (He was teaching) τοὺς (the) ὄχλους (crowds).
4 Ὡς (When) δὲ (then) ἐπαύσατο (He ceased) λαλῶν (speaking), εἶπεν (He said) πρὸς (to) τὸν (-) Σίμωνα (Simon)· Ἐπανάγαγε (Put out) εἰς (into) τὸ (the) βάθος (deep), καὶ (and) χαλάσατε (let down) τὰ (the) δίκτυα (nets) ὑμῶν (of you⁺) εἰς (for) ἄγραν (a catch).
5 Καὶ (And) ἀποκριθεὶς (answering) Σίμων (Simon) εἶπεν (said)· Ἐπιστάτα (Master), δι’ (through) ὅλης (the whole) νυκτὸς (night) κοπιάσαντες (having toiled) οὐδὲν (nothing) ἐλάβομεν (we took)· ἐπὶ (upon) δὲ (however) τῷ (the) ῥήματί (word) σου (of You) χαλάσω (I will let down) τὰ (the) δίκτυα (nets).
6 καὶ (And) τοῦτο (this) ποιήσαντες (having done) συνέκλεισαν (they enclosed) πλῆθος (a multitude) ἰχθύων (of fish) πολύ (great)· διερρήσσετο (were tearing) δὲ (now) τὰ (the) δίκτυα (nets) αὐτῶν (of them).
7 καὶ (And) κατένευσαν (they beckoned) τοῖς (to the) μετόχοις (partners) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) ἑτέρῳ (other) πλοίῳ (boat) τοῦ (-) ἐλθόντας (having come) συλλαβέσθαι (to help) αὐτοῖς (them)· καὶ (and) ἦλθον (they came), καὶ (and) ἔπλησαν (filled) ἀμφότερα (both) τὰ (the) πλοῖα (boats) ὥστε (so that) βυθίζεσθαι (were sinking) αὐτά (they).
8 Ἰδὼν (Having seen) δὲ (now) Σίμων (Simon) Πέτρος (Peter) προσέπεσεν (fell at) τοῖς (the) γόνασιν (knees) Ἰησοῦ (of Jesus) λέγων (saying)· Ἔξελθε (Go out) ἀπ’ (from) ἐμοῦ (me), ὅτι (because) ἀνὴρ (a man) ἁμαρτωλός (sinful) εἰμι (am I), Κύριε (Lord).
9 θάμβος (Amazement) γὰρ (for) περιέσχεν (laid hold) αὐτὸν (on him) καὶ (and) πάντας (on all) τοὺς (those) σὺν (with) αὐτῷ (him) ἐπὶ (at) τῇ (the) ἄγρᾳ (catch) τῶν (of the) ἰχθύων (fish) ὧν (that) συνέλαβον (they took),
10 ὁμοίως (likewise) δὲ (then) καὶ (also) Ἰάκωβον (James) καὶ (and) Ἰωάννην (John) υἱοὺς (the sons) Ζεβεδαίου (of Zebedee), οἳ (who) ἦσαν (were) κοινωνοὶ (partners) τῷ (-) Σίμωνι (with Simon).
Καὶ (And) εἶπεν (said) πρὸς (to) τὸν (-) Σίμωνα (Simon) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus)· Μὴ (Not) φοβοῦ (fear)· ἀπὸ (from) τοῦ (-) νῦν (now on) ἀνθρώπους (men) ἔσῃ (you will be) ζωγρῶν (catching).
11 καὶ (And) καταγαγόντες (having brought down) τὰ (the) πλοῖα (boats) ἐπὶ (upon) τὴν (the) γῆν (land), ἀφέντες (having left) πάντα (all) ἠκολούθησαν (they followed) αὐτῷ (Him).

12 Καὶ (And) ἐγένετο (it came to pass) ἐν (in) τῷ (-) εἶναι (being) αὐτὸν (His) ἐν (in) μιᾷ (one) τῶν (of the) πόλεων (cities) καὶ (that) ἰδοὺ (behold) ἀνὴρ (a man) πλήρης (full) λέπρας (of leprosy)· ἰδὼν (having seen) δὲ (then) τὸν (-) Ἰησοῦν (Jesus), πεσὼν (having fallen) ἐπὶ (upon) πρόσωπον (his face) ἐδεήθη (he begged) αὐτοῦ (Him) λέγων (saying)· Κύριε (Lord), ἐὰν (if) θέλῃς (You are willing), δύνασαί (You are able) με (me) καθαρίσαι (to cleanse).
13 Καὶ (And) ἐκτείνας (having stretched out) τὴν (the) χεῖρα (hand) ἥψατο (He touched) αὐτοῦ (him) λέγων (saying)· Θέλω (I am willing), καθαρίσθητι (be cleansed)· καὶ (And) εὐθέως (immediately) ἡ (the) λέπρα (leprosy) ἀπῆλθεν (went away) ἀπ’ (from) αὐτοῦ (him).
14 Καὶ (And) αὐτὸς (He) παρήγγειλεν (instructed) αὐτῷ (him) μηδενὶ (no one) εἰπεῖν (to tell), Ἀλλὰ (But) ἀπελθὼν (having gone) δεῖξον (show) σεαυτὸν (yourself) τῷ (to the) ἱερεῖ (priest), καὶ (and) προσένεγκε (offer) περὶ (concerning) τοῦ (the) καθαρισμοῦ (cleansing) σου (of you) καθὼς (just as) προσέταξεν (commanded) Μωϋσῆς (Moses), εἰς (for) μαρτύριον (a testimony) αὐτοῖς (to them).
15 Διήρχετο (Was spreading) δὲ (however) μᾶλλον (still more) ὁ (the) λόγος (word) περὶ (concerning) αὐτοῦ (Him), καὶ (and) συνήρχοντο (were coming) ὄχλοι (crowds) πολλοὶ (many) ἀκούειν (to hear) καὶ (and) θεραπεύεσθαι (to be healed) ἀπὸ (from) τῶν (the) ἀσθενειῶν (infirmities) αὐτῶν (of them)·
16 αὐτὸς (He Himself) δὲ (now) ἦν (was) ὑποχωρῶν (withdrawing) ἐν (into) ταῖς (the) ἐρήμοις (wilderness) καὶ (and) προσευχόμενος (praying).

17 Καὶ (And) ἐγένετο (it came to pass) ἐν (on) μιᾷ (one) τῶν (of the) ἡμερῶν (days) καὶ (that) αὐτὸς (He) ἦν (was) διδάσκων (teaching), καὶ (and) ἦσαν (there were) καθήμενοι (sitting) Φαρισαῖοι (Pharisees) καὶ (and) νομοδιδάσκαλοι (teachers of the law) οἳ (who) ἦσαν (were) ἐληλυθότες (come) ἐκ (out of) πάσης (every) κώμης (village) τῆς (-) Γαλιλαίας (of Galilee) καὶ (and) Ἰουδαίας (of Judea) καὶ (and) Ἰερουσαλήμ (of Jerusalem)· καὶ (And) δύναμις (the power) Κυρίου (of the Lord) ἦν (was there) εἰς (for) τὸ (-) ἰᾶσθαι (to heal) αὐτόν (Him).
18 Καὶ (And) ἰδοὺ (behold) ἄνδρες (men) φέροντες (bringing) ἐπὶ (upon) κλίνης (a bed) ἄνθρωπον (a man) ὃς (who) ἦν (was) παραλελυμένος (paralyzed), καὶ (and) ἐζήτουν (they were seeking) αὐτὸν (him) εἰσενεγκεῖν (to bring in) καὶ (and) θεῖναι (to place) αὐτὸν (him) ἐνώπιον (before) αὐτοῦ (Him).
19 καὶ (And) μὴ (not) εὑρόντες (having found) ποίας (what way) εἰσενέγκωσιν (they might bring in) αὐτὸν (him) διὰ (through) τὸν (the) ὄχλον (crowd), ἀναβάντες (having gone up) ἐπὶ (on) τὸ (the) δῶμα (housetop) διὰ (through) τῶν (the) κεράμων (tiles) καθῆκαν (they let down) αὐτὸν (him) σὺν (with) τῷ (the) κλινιδίῳ (little bed) εἰς (into) τὸ (the) μέσον (midst) ἔμπροσθεν (before) τοῦ (-) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus).
20 Καὶ (And) ἰδὼν (having seen) τὴν (the) πίστιν (faith) αὐτῶν (of them) εἶπεν (He said)· Ἄνθρωπε (Man), ἀφέωνταί (have been forgiven) σοι (you) αἱ (the) ἁμαρτίαι (sins) σου (of you).
21 Καὶ (And) ἤρξαντο (began) διαλογίζεσθαι (to reason) οἱ (the) γραμματεῖς (scribes) καὶ (and) οἱ (the) Φαρισαῖοι (Pharisees) λέγοντες (saying)· Τίς (Who) ἐστιν (is) οὗτος (this) ὃς (who) λαλεῖ (speaks) βλασφημίας (blasphemies)? τίς (Who) δύναται (is able) ἁμαρτίας (sins) ἀφεῖναι (to forgive) εἰ (if) μὴ (not) μόνος (alone) ὁ (-) Θεός (God)?
22 Ἐπιγνοὺς (Having known) δὲ (now) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) τοὺς (the) διαλογισμοὺς (reasonings) αὐτῶν (of them) ἀποκριθεὶς (answering) εἶπεν (He said) πρὸς (to) αὐτούς (them)· Τί (Why) διαλογίζεσθε (do you⁺ reason) ἐν (in) ταῖς (the) καρδίαις (hearts) ὑμῶν (of you⁺)?
23 τί (Which) ἐστιν (is) εὐκοπώτερον (easier), εἰπεῖν (to say)· Ἀφέωνταί (Have been forgiven) σοι (you) αἱ (the) ἁμαρτίαι (sins) σου (of you), ἢ (or) εἰπεῖν (to say)· Ἔγειρε (Arise) καὶ (and) περιπάτει (walk)?
24 ἵνα (So that) δὲ (however) εἰδῆτε (you⁺ may know) ὅτι (that) ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son) τοῦ (-) ἀνθρώπου (of Man) ἐξουσίαν (authority) ἔχει (has) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth) ἀφιέναι (to forgive) ἁμαρτίας (sins), εἶπεν (He said) τῷ (to the) παραλελυμένῳ (paralyzed one)· Σοὶ (To you) λέγω (I say), ἔγειρε (arise) καὶ (and) ἄρας (having taken up) τὸ (the) κλινίδιόν (mat) σου (of you) πορεύου (go) εἰς (to) τὸν (the) οἶκόν (house) σου (of you).
25 Καὶ (And) παραχρῆμα (immediately) ἀναστὰς (having risen up) ἐνώπιον (before) αὐτῶν (them), ἄρας (having taken up) ἐφ’ (that on) ὃ (which) κατέκειτο (he was lying), ἀπῆλθεν (he went away) εἰς (to) τὸν (the) οἶκον (house) αὐτοῦ (of him) δοξάζων (glorifying) τὸν (-) Θεόν (God).
26 καὶ (And) ἔκστασις (amazement) ἔλαβεν (took) ἅπαντας (all), καὶ (and) ἐδόξαζον (they were glorifying) τὸν (-) Θεόν (God), καὶ (and) ἐπλήσθησαν (they were filled) φόβου (with fear) λέγοντες (saying) ὅτι (-) Εἴδομεν (We saw) παράδοξα (remarkable things) σήμερον (today).
