1Μετὰ (After) τοῦτο (these things) εἶδον (I saw) τέσσαρας (four) ἀγγέλους (angels) ἑστῶτας (standing) ἐπὶ (upon) τὰς (the) τέσσαρας (four) γωνίας (corners) τῆς (of the) γῆς (earth), κρατοῦντας (holding) τοὺς (the) τέσσαρας (four) ἀνέμους (winds) τῆς (of the) γῆς (earth), ἵνα (so that) μὴ (no) πνέῃ (would blow) ἄνεμος (wind) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth), μήτε (nor) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) θαλάσσης (sea), μήτε (nor) ἐπὶ (on) πᾶν (any) δένδρον (tree). 2καὶ (And) εἶδον (I saw) ἄλλον (another) ἄγγελον (angel), ἀναβαίνοντα (having ascended) ἀπὸ (from) ἀνατολῆς (the rising) ἡλίου (of the sun), ἔχοντα (having) σφραγῖδα (the seal) Θεοῦ (of God) ζῶντος (the living). καὶ (And) ἔκραξεν (he cried) φωνῇ (in a voice) μεγάλῃ (loud) τοῖς (to the) τέσσαρσιν (four) ἀγγέλοις (angels) οἷς (to whom) ἐδόθη (it had been given) αὐτοῖς (to them) ἀδικῆσαι (to harm) τὴν (the) γῆν (earth) καὶ (and) τὴν (the) θάλασσαν (sea), 3λέγων (saying), “Μὴ (Not) ἀδικήσητε (harm) τὴν (the) γῆν (earth), μήτε (nor) τὴν (the) θάλασσαν (sea), μήτε (nor) τὰ (the) δένδρα (trees), ἄχρι (until) σφραγίσωμεν (we shall have sealed) τοὺς (the) δούλους (servants) τοῦ (of the) Θεοῦ (God) ἡμῶν (of us), ἐπὶ (on) τῶν (the) μετώπων (foreheads) αὐτῶν (of them).”

4Καὶ (And) ἤκουσα (I heard) τὸν (the) ἀριθμὸν (number) τῶν (of those) ἐσφραγισμένων (having been sealed), ἑκατὸν (one hundred) τεσσεράκοντα (forty) τέσσαρες (four) χιλιάδες (thousand), ἐσφραγισμένοι (having been sealed) ἐκ (out of) πάσης (every) φυλῆς (tribe) υἱῶν (of the sons) Ἰσραήλ (of Israel):

5Ἐκ (Out of) φυλῆς (the tribe) Ἰούδα (of Judah) δώδεκα (twelve) χιλιάδες (thousand) ἐσφραγισμένοι (having been sealed),

ἐκ (out of) φυλῆς (the tribe) Ῥουβὴν (of Reuben) δώδεκα (twelve) χιλιάδες (thousand),

ἐκ (out of) φυλῆς (the tribe) Γὰδ (of Gad) δώδεκα (twelve) χιλιάδες (thousand),

6Ἐκ (out of) φυλῆς (the tribe) Ἀσὴρ (of Asher) δώδεκα (twelve) χιλιάδες (thousand),

ἐκ (out of) φυλῆς (the tribe) Νεφθαλὶμ (of Naphtali) δώδεκα (twelve) χιλιάδες (thousand),

ἐκ (out of) φυλῆς (the tribe) Μανασσῆ (of Manasseh) δώδεκα (twelve) χιλιάδες (thousand),

7Ἐκ (out of) φυλῆς (the tribe) Συμεὼν (of Simeon) δώδεκα (twelve) χιλιάδες (thousand),

ἐκ (out of) φυλῆς (the tribe) Λευὶ (of Levi) δώδεκα (twelve) χιλιάδες (thousand),

ἐκ (out of) φυλῆς (the tribe) Ἰσσαχὰρ (of Isaachar) δώδεκα (twelve) χιλιάδες (thousand),

8Ἐκ (out of) φυλῆς (the tribe) Ζαβουλὼν (of Zebulun) δώδεκα (twelve) χιλιάδες (thousand),

ἐκ (out of) φυλῆς (the tribe) Ἰωσὴφ (of Joseph) δώδεκα (twelve) χιλιάδες (thousand),

ἐκ (out of) φυλῆς (the tribe) Βενιαμὶν (of Benjamin) δώδεκα (twelve) χιλιάδες (thousand) ἐσφραγισμένοι (having been sealed).

9Μετὰ (After) ταῦτα (these things) εἶδον (I looked), καὶ (and) ἰδοὺ (behold), ὄχλος (a multitude) πολύς (great), ὃν (which) ἀριθμῆσαι (to number) αὐτὸν (it) οὐδεὶς (no one) ἐδύνατο (was able), ἐκ (out of) παντὸς (every) ἔθνους (nation), καὶ (and) φυλῶν (tribes), καὶ (and) λαῶν (peoples), καὶ (and) γλωσσῶν (tongues), ἑστῶτες (standing) ἐνώπιον (before) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne) καὶ (and) ἐνώπιον (before) τοῦ (the) Ἀρνίου (Lamb), περιβεβλημένους (having been clothed with) στολὰς (robes) λευκάς (white), καὶ (and) φοίνικες (palm branches) ἐν (in) ταῖς (the) χερσὶν (hands) αὐτῶν (of them). 10καὶ (And) κράζουσιν (they were crying out) φωνῇ (in a voice) μεγάλῃ (loud), λέγοντες (saying):

“Ἡ (-) σωτηρία (Salvation) τῷ (to the) Θεῷ (God) ἡμῶν (of us),

τῷ (the One) καθημένῳ (sitting) ἐπὶ (on) τῷ (the) θρόνῳ (throne),

καὶ (and) τῷ (to the) Ἀρνίῳ (Lamb)!”

11Καὶ (And) πάντες (all) οἱ (the) ἄγγελοι (angels) εἱστήκεισαν (stood) κύκλῳ (around) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne), καὶ (and) τῶν (the) πρεσβυτέρων (elders), καὶ (and) τῶν (the) τεσσάρων (four) ζῴων (living creatures), καὶ (and) ἔπεσαν (they fell) ἐνώπιον (before) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne) ἐπὶ (upon) τὰ (the) πρόσωπα (faces) αὐτῶν (of them), καὶ (and) προσεκύνησαν (worshiped) τῷ (-) Θεῷ (God), 12λέγοντες (saying), “Ἀμήν (Amen)! ἡ (-) εὐλογία (Blessing), καὶ (and) ἡ (-) δόξα (glory), καὶ (and) ἡ (-) σοφία (wisdom), καὶ (and) ἡ (-) εὐχαριστία (thanksgiving), καὶ (and) ἡ (-) τιμὴ (honor), καὶ (and) ἡ (-) δύναμις (power), καὶ (and) ἡ (-) ἰσχὺς (strength), τῷ (to the) Θεῷ (God) ἡμῶν (of us), εἰς (to) τοὺς (the) αἰῶνας (ages) τῶν (of the) αἰώνων (ages)! ἀμήν (Amen).”

13Καὶ (And) ἀπεκρίθη (answered) εἷς (one) ἐκ (of) τῶν (the) πρεσβυτέρων (elders), λέγων (saying) μοι (to me), “Οὗτοι (These) οἱ (-) περιβεβλημένοι (having been clothed with) τὰς (the) στολὰς (robes) τὰς (-) λευκὰς (white), τίνες (who) εἰσὶν (are they), καὶ (and) πόθεν (from where) ἦλθον (have they come)?”

14Καὶ (And) εἴρηκα (I said) αὐτῷ (to him), “Κύριέ (Lord) μου (of me), σὺ (you) οἶδας (know).”

Καὶ (And) εἶπέν (he said) μοι (to me), “Οὗτοί (These) εἰσιν (are) οἱ (the ones) ἐρχόμενοι (coming) ἐκ (out of) τῆς (the) θλίψεως (tribulation) τῆς (-) μεγάλης (great), καὶ (and) ἔπλυναν (they have washed) τὰς (the) στολὰς (robes) αὐτῶν (of them) καὶ (and) ἐλεύκαναν (made white) αὐτὰς (them) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) αἵματι (blood) τοῦ (of the) Ἀρνίου (Lamb). 15διὰ (Because of) τοῦτό (this),

‘Εἰσιν (They are) ἐνώπιον (before) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God),

καὶ (and) λατρεύουσιν (serve) αὐτῷ (Him) ἡμέρας (day) καὶ (and) νυκτὸς (night) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) ναῷ (temple) αὐτοῦ (of Him);

καὶ (and) ὁ (the One) καθήμενος (sitting) ἐπὶ (on) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne)

σκηνώσει (will tabernacle) ἐπ’ (over) αὐτούς (them).

16οὐ (Not) πεινάσουσιν (they will hunger) ἔτι (any more),

οὐδὲ (neither) διψήσουσιν (will they thirst) ἔτι (anymore),

οὐδὲ (nor) μὴ (at all) πέσῃ (shall fall) ἐπ’ (upon) αὐτοὺς (them) ὁ (the) ἥλιος (sun),

οὐδὲ (nor) πᾶν (any) καῦμα (scorching heat);a

17ὅτι (because) τὸ (the) Ἀρνίον (Lamb) τὸ (-) ἀνὰ (in the) μέσον (center) τοῦ (of the) θρόνου (throne)

ποιμανεῖ (will shepherd) αὐτούς (them),b

καὶ (and) ὁδηγήσει (He will lead) αὐτοὺς (them) ἐπὶ (to) ζωῆς (living) πηγὰς (fountains) ὑδάτων (of waters),c

καὶ (and) ἐξαλείψει (will wipe away) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) πᾶν (every) δάκρυον (tear) ἐκ (from) τῶν (the) ὀφθαλμῶν (eyes) αὐτῶν (of them).’d”
