Καὶ (And) περιῆγεν (He was going) τὰς (the) κώμας (villages) κύκλῳ (around), διδάσκων (teaching). Jesus Walks on Water 45Καὶ (And) εὐθὺς (immediately) ἠνάγκασεν (He compelled) τοὺς (the) μαθητὰς (disciples) αὐτοῦ (of Him) ἐμβῆναι (to enter) εἰς (into) τὸ (the) πλοῖον (boat) καὶ (and) προάγειν (to go before) εἰς (to) τὸ (the) πέραν (other side), πρὸς (to) Βηθσαϊδάν (Bethsaida), ἕως (until) αὐτὸς (He) ἀπολύει (should dismiss) τὸν (the) ὄχλον (crowd). 46καὶ (And) ἀποταξάμενος (having taken leave of) αὐτοῖς (them), ἀπῆλθεν (He departed) εἰς (into) τὸ (the) ὄρος (mountain) προσεύξασθαι (to pray). 47Καὶ (And) ὀψίας (evening) γενομένης (having come), ἦν (was) τὸ (the) πλοῖον (boat) ἐν (in) μέσῳ (the midst) τῆς (of the) θαλάσσης (sea), καὶ (and) αὐτὸς (He) μόνος (alone) ἐπὶ (upon) τῆς (the) γῆς (land). 48καὶ (And) ἰδὼν (He having seen) αὐτοὺς (them) βασανιζομένους (straining) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) ἐλαύνειν (rowing), ἦν (was) γὰρ (for) ὁ (the) ἄνεμος (wind) ἐναντίος (contrary) αὐτοῖς (to them). περὶ (About) τετάρτην (the fourth) φυλακὴν (watch) τῆς (of the) νυκτὸς (night) ἔρχεται (He comes) πρὸς (to) αὐτοὺς (them), περιπατῶν (walking) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) θαλάσσης (sea), καὶ (and) ἤθελεν (He was wishing) παρελθεῖν (to pass by) αὐτούς (them). 49οἱ (-) δὲ (And) ἰδόντες (having seen) αὐτὸν (Him) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) θαλάσσης (sea) περιπατοῦντα (walking), ἔδοξαν (they thought) ὅτι (that) φάντασμά (a ghost) ἐστιν (it is), καὶ (and) ἀνέκραξαν (cried out). 50πάντες (All) γὰρ (for) αὐτὸν (Him) εἶδον* (saw) καὶ (and) ἐταράχθησαν (were troubled). ὁ (-) Δὲ (And) εὐθὺς (immediately) ἐλάλησεν (He spoke) μετ’ (with) αὐτῶν (them), καὶ (and) λέγει (says) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Θαρσεῖτε (Take courage); ἐγώ (I) εἰμι (am He); μὴ (not) φοβεῖσθε (fear).” 51καὶ (And) ἀνέβη (He went up) πρὸς (to) αὐτοὺς (them) εἰς (into) τὸ (the) πλοῖον (boat), καὶ (and) ἐκόπασεν (ceased) ὁ (the) ἄνεμος (wind). καὶ (And) λίαν (exceedingly) ἐκ (in) περισσοῦ (abundance) ἐν (in) ἑαυτοῖς (themselves) ἐξίσταντο (they were amazed), 52οὐ (not) γὰρ (for) συνῆκαν (they understood) ἐπὶ (by) τοῖς (the) ἄρτοις (loaves); ἀλλ’ (but) ἦν (had been) αὐτῶν (of them) ἡ (the) καρδία (heart) πεπωρωμένη (hardened). Jesus Heals at Gennesaret 53Καὶ (And) διαπεράσαντες (having passed over) ἐπὶ (to) τὴν (the) γῆν (land), ἦλθον (they came) εἰς (to) Γεννησαρὲτ (Gennesaret) καὶ (and) προσωρμίσθησαν (drew to shore).
